Hi Kone, What have you found to be the best way to charge batteries with the flyback pulse to allow the super fast charging and high energy discharge Bedini type response, what is the maximum voltage you allow into a lead acid, do you limit voltage with a zener or simply size the coil accordingly? Once the flyback is run into a cap does the negatricity OU charging effect in lead acid no longer appear for you? My experiments with a cap before the battery always ruined the effect but maybe you have other experiences. Thanks, Mick PS beware of those big dick beavers, they could be sexually non binary or at least some kind of oxymoronic animal. They did have some killer acid in the 70's, beaverpane...

MickMy experiment with charging those blg deep cycle golf cart batteries seemed to be a success. I made a very large Bedini wheel, from a extra 316 stainless yacht wheel about 30" in diameter, because it just happened to be laying around. I hot glued 18 ferrite magnets around the rim, and made a Bedini coil up from 450 ft of #20 magnet wire, bifilar, and twisted together, as per instructions.I made up the standard circuit.I mounted it all on a 3/8" plexiglas disc that I also happened to have laying around, and welded up a three strutted bearing holder, so the rotating shaft might be also used in experiments.This wheel rotated rotated at about 100 rpm using a little leas acid garden tractor battery I picked up at Walmart at some lost leader sale for $12. I hooked up my two 6v deep cycle golf cart batteries from my boat, 225 amps each, and put in series for 12 volts.They had been charged with my home made wind generators for the last several years, since there is no power available to our swing moorings at our Toronto club.Initially, other than the wheel going round, nothing much happened the first day, running it in my studio.Non the less I was thrilled just to get the wheel turning.Over the next couple of days, there began a progressive increase in voltage in the two deep cycles, and a very modest draw down in the garden tractor battery.It took nearly a week, or so to charge those batteries the first time, but they really were charged.The interesting thing was the amperage going in, did not match the 225 amps of the fully charged deep cycle batteries. The garden tractor battery was down , but not too bad.With this scanty evidence, I opened my big mouth, to my friends at the boat club, telling about what I was doing, ( because I found it interesting, and somewhat exciting, at the time)I offered to store, and experiment with their batteries, too, during winter lay up, using my heated studio, not far from the club. So in effect, it became a group experiment with about ten battery sets, of 12 volts each.I started out using my charged deep cycle batteries to run the Bedini, charging their batteries, all at once, in parallel, just letting it go, but checking mine from time, to time, to see how the voltage was doing.As we were fairly busy at work, I gave my assistant Luiza, the job of keeping an eye on the battery voltages, while the wheel turned 24/7 on the Bedini.I was also participating in the Bedini group on the computer.A pattern was emerging. When the batteries would charge up, then get rotated to burn off some charge, doing something like running a big dc turntable, with a 3/4 hp motor, they were taking less, and less, time to charge up each time, until by April, we were seeing a charge in as little as 15 minutes to 14.24 from 12.1v.Luiza was getting fairly pissed doing all the messing with batteries, as it was taking a toll on her wardrobe, turning her outfits into lacey ruins, with the acid environment around them.It was time to have everybody pick up their batteries, all nicely charged, and kept warm for the winter.All the next season, everyone gave glowing testimonials about how well their batteries were performing, keeping a charge for the whole season.While some might be attributed to getting a sucker to maintain their batteries all winter, there seems to have been something else going on in this battery charging, because the charging speed was way faster after several cycles on the wheel than before. Hi Mick For lead acid battery flyback charging follow Warrens Bedini wheel succezs...personally I wouldn't put anything in circuit to suppress the spike. I know Rick Fredricjh ecommends a neon bulb of certain voltage limiting purpose to save the mosfeys in the stuff he sells but my meager opinion is use brush commutator for least resistance plus the destructive transient spikes now not such a big worry. Just as long as you always have the spike gathering reservoir hooked up to flyback steering diode, that destructive transient is going to hit the battery and not go back through mosfet or transistor and fry it...so never operate if solidstatte without the charging baytery....as for csps.you will have problem whenever you disconnect cap from flyback diode and coil to discharge it to load (battery) non reflectivrto input, so solution for that is to have two steering diodes and two collector-caps, discharge cap A while cap B fills and vice versa....now you will be doing a sort of AC output if you choose to flip polarity each cap discharges. Anyways my meager advice for charging lead acid 12vbatteriez with cap discharge is knock cap into battery at one second intervals, discharge cap when it is at 36v, and let cap drop down to 23v no less than that...cap discharge to charge is not same as flyback charge perhaps you can make cap discharge style work better in that it uses less energy to fill the caps and charhes battery faster and better but flyback charge into lead acids sure is simple.. For rotovertor motor charging via run cap phase, if running RV on 120vac and you have similar voltage across your run cap, put a FWBR AC legs across that run cap, then DC side straight into lead acid battery...more in parallel the better this very dangerous the DC you can't "shake off" like AC if you in process of being Lee trocuted, also if you disconnect battery on DC side of FWBR there is good chance of bad shock e en without touching anything...just fingers near will give you a jolt...so always first disconnect FWBR on AC side first, then disconnect battery. Kone, Thanks for the in depth and the safety tip, stuff like that is important for people to know! Luckily pulsed dc is not as nasty as steady state when it comes to nerve locking. Have you noticed a difference in the type of charge the battery gets with the cap system vs straight flyback. I think the good old moving magnet like Warren had might be the ultimate as far as chargers go, not so sure this is so simple to replicate as the solid state type Bedini claims... DougI forgot to mentionUsing a RV capacitor circuit in series to run a 12 volt trolling outboard boat motor, with a step down multi tap transformer , and bridge rectifier, there was an unused 24 volt tap on the transformer, so I rectified that and ran the Rene charger to charge a bank of 5 amp gell cells(12 volt)Any single gell cell could run the RV.No additional load could be measured using the Rene charger, so anyone caring to self run, could figure out an Arduino driven relay switching system, or even a geared down mechanical system.I didn't bother, being greedy for much more power. Hi Mick I do notice "difference" between flyback spike charging lead acid batteries and straight cap charging lead acids and also the HVDC approach too...wbich is more practical and works better and more sffecienr I would say is the flyback Bedini wheel approach But if you do not use the correct type of lead acids, (traction batteries) over fairly short period of time the batteries go bad becauze they are not made to do thousands of charge discharge cycles, rather just about a dozen if regular car batteries or marine starting batteries. or even worse the very common7ah sealed lead acids made for backup UPS for computers in case of grid failure for example is the only time the batteries will kick in, so made to sit on shelf for years. Then drain for only few hours ...maybe :"rechageable" type but not rechargeable in sense golf cart traction type batteries are rechargeable after thousands d cycles running loads. I wasted hundreds of hours testing various battery charging circuits for years using small sealed lead acids I got from surplus cheap salvaged out of backup computer battery banks ...and would come to wrong conclusion this way of that way works like shit or thiz way raisez voltagw twice as fast etc. but actually I made bad choice of batteries so my experience not such a great experience to tell you what is best conclusively.. I just have my opi ionbased on my experience and others too like Warren and Bedini...i don't quite trust Rick Fredricjh totally as he is selling stuff to public making money and is doing lots of bedini bashing on his very boring long windec videos. Hi Kone, No shit that guys videos are the must boring fucking things and his stuff is rather expensive. I spoke to him and he seemed very unscientific about the differences I just brought up. I think he is close on the Smith stuff but really doesn't quite get it, what Norm and Hector already know. Got to turn the signal to RF and convert and use a magnetic flux pump. But on the good side he is maintaining a presence and does have some good info if one can stand hearing his shitty microphone and watching long winded boring weirdness. I was just wondering .I've got one with 10 coils and thinking about doing the up grade to fine tune but right now it desulfates pretty good like it is .I'm getting ricks book on don smith its I think ..might be wrong ..but 500 pages he's got it working and gives a lot of info on construction he sounded pretty impressed about dons work . .I'll see bog if I can get up and running and move on to other things . stay warm ..a good bottle of youkon jack with do the trick . Hi James, I would question if he has it working as a high power system. I know he has it working similar to my wireless charging system but that is at about a 4x1 gain, nothing like the gains Don was getting with magnetic flux paths. If you could ask him if indeed he can run the system to the point of powering a house from a system with a few capacitors or if he requires batteries to charge with his version of DS gen this would make the distinction. Well I'm going to need more information before forming a opinion on his work .he said that in the front of his book he has the twin coil resonant experiment of dons with the two small coils you might of seen .he said they have gotten 10 times the out put on those coils than normal .I think he using the coils as a see you can do it .demo . if true then that moves this subject forward somewhat .I need to replicate that first .the thing that's all ways disconcerted me was the claim you don't need a scope to do the work like on bedini wheel when frankly they used one .kinda misdirection .they might not need one being immersed in the subject but most like to see what the hells going on . later I liked the idea of I think it was smokey ? That said ...to self power all you might need is a bedini coil and a MOSFET pluser set at around 20,000 cycles to speed charge batteries . something like that .once conditioned its fast .and even if they don't hold the charge long term everyday recharge and use.. its good to go .for every day .full charge .that's impressive warrens charging big golf cart bats from a garden bat reminds me of johns vid with the real big bank of bats being charged by several flash light bats .a small solar panel might be all you need to keep things going . James, I don't think he has it figured out, he is talking about resonant gain between high Q coils, there is much more to what Don was doing than the resonant gain side of the concept, much closer to what Norm has been pointing us towards. So unless he can power resistance heaters of a couple thousand watts with no batteries he does not have it yet. Warren, I have been trying explain how the Smith device works via the magnetic flux pulsing Norm is on about, yes the inductive cooker comes closest as it is designed to dump flux into an iron cooking skillet. If you have noticed the induction cooking coil has ferrite sections for this reason. There are two poss flux designss at play not including the preconditioned Sparky magnets. One is the flux pumping emp magnetic reconnect and the other is a similar concept bi-bidirectionally where the flux of permanent magnets is switched in polarity through a coil by forcing into one or another flux circuit a la: AT Star, DS Toffolo, Ray Radus, Joe Flynn etc. Straight up resonance is not going to get one very far without many niggling issues of load tuning, temperature drift etc. and much lower gain unless one is talking the resonance of two cores switching flux. I assume Smith was using two cores he was saturating out of phase with one another so they would flux switch. Well at the time years ago the group I was looking at said they had done it but had trouble with the air coils and needed to use some iron in them to get the power to transfer but did have it up and tuning there homes .well were he's at .as soon as I can get out and go pick it up .some twice now has deliberately trashed my out road with a tractor type vehicle this winter so I'm a little behind the curve .the attacks are just tearable .
