Have been experimenting with a hard switching 555 circuit at low frequencies 1000 hz and under 555 to a comparator for pulse width control and gate driver hard switching a fet with around a 40 nansec rise/fall driving an ignition coil. When the proper frequency/duty cycle are hit on the spark is jumping from earth ground to the device. It seems these displays are in ferroresonant zones of the inductor as the loose coupled scope shows the pulses along with a moving beat frequency, so the typical AM-FM ferro response. When the proper frequency/DutyCyc are hit upon the spark begins to get very loud and growl reminding me of angry arcing hi current voltage like when striking an arc welder. Something natural instincts scream stay far away from. After looking at the Don Smith device and Tesla Magnifying Transmitter they look like the same circuit. I am convinced the Don Smith system works with Norms neutral spike and on a AC modulated DC signal creating a beat frequency somewhat locked to the pulse frequency just modulating back and forth. I have not yet been able to see the spike on a scope channel as Norm claims it is the reciprocal of the E vector wave. Working on ideas to harvest the occurrence without getting bitten or chewed up and spit out. Leaning towards a gas tube and inductor like Dr Tesla used. If one will notice on the Don Smith device there is a resistor loading the isolation transformer, this may be what is required in order to correct the power factor of this bizarre beast. Also to note when these combinations make the magic electronics do not like it, power supply LED displays go into havoc and scope looks unhappy too, have to move further from the bench.

MickYou sound like you are doing something quite interesting, in a simple to achieve way.The little trick now is pick up some of that energy from a little distance, maybe a coil wound to a complementary number of turns so it can operate in resonance?Cheers Warren Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android On Sat, May 5, 2018 at 9:33 PM, Mick [email protected] [EVGRAY]<[email protected]> wrote: Have been experimenting with a hard switching 555 circuit at low frequencies 1000 hz and under 555 to a comparator for pulse width control and gate driver hard switching a fet with around a 40 nansec rise/fall driving an ignition coil. Warren, The earth spike seems to work weather or not there is a ferroresonance signature on the coil waveforme, just a whole lot better when there is. Therefore the frequency become speculative as to what resonance one is working with, be in the spark gap or the modulation or the beat frequencies. I think a wideband approach of filling some caps from a spark gap or plasma tube as fast as they can be discharged is the ticket. This is where the experiment becomes costly as the high voltage multi mF caps are not cheap. In the Colorado notes Tesla has an extra coil in his Magnifying transmitter that no one seems to understand what he was doing with it. I propose this is the ferroresonant modulator. A less costly way to harves is by PF correcting the energy to work in a transformer so the field requires much research and moving slow in order not to burn up parts

Hi Ole, All great points, still thinking about ways of harvest as calcs will get close but there is always the gnats ass final nudge. Have not decided on the caps being filled quickly through loose coupling like a spark gap or power corection into a step down transformer, Just the capacitance coupling of me being nearby changes things so I can see what Hector said about tuning is a bitch. Nice info on the flyback time transfer function. I am trying to use distance as my answer the the capacitive coupling. Yes your right it could be an avalanche punching through the gate would look the same as the ferroresonance, using an IGBT but same potential problem. I would like to use a snubber without rounding off the corners of my square wave but this may also stop the coil ringing which is what I want. Is a snubber cap any different than the same rated polycap? Working in the major investigative stage now so all your points a very welcome! Hi Mick, The resonant frequency is given by the circuit parameters. If the iron core saturates most of the inductance vanishes which increases the resonant frequency. How fast the coil is demagnetized determines the peak voltage of the flyback pulse at a given current and inductance. The product of the voltage and time is the same for the input and output pulses when the circuit parameters aren't changed. Thus an output pulse of one tenth the length of the input pulse gives ten times as high peak voltage of the flyback pulse. The secondary then transforms that voltage by the ratio of the number of turns between the primary and secondary coils. For a tesla coil this ratio has to be calculated like for a transmission line transformer. I don't think transmission line theory is strictly necessary for calculating the output voltage of an iron cored induction coil. Use the formulas for normal transformers. A capacitor is placed across the switch to limit the flyback voltage peak to a safe value for the switch. If using a power MOSFETs as switch the MOSFET probably goes into avalanche mode without this snubber capacitor. A mechanical switch will just arc across the contact points without the capacitor. What is seen as ferro resonance could be an avalanche (breakdown) through the MOSFET. This happens very fast just like ferro resonance. It may degrade the MOSFET to give it a shorter life. How fast the coil can be demagnetized depends on its parasitic capacitance and the load of the coil. A totally open circuited coil without any capacitance will demagnetize immediately and thus induce an infinitely high voltage. Such ideal coils doesn't exist as even vacuum has a dielectric constant. Thus parasitic capacitance is formed between neighboring turns which dampens the voltage. I.e. the energy is converted from magnetic field energy to electric field energy. The induced high voltage of the secondary coil creates an electric field between the output terminals. If close to the earth or any metal parts the field will charge those parts even through a vacuum. If the distance isn't great enough the field will punch through and discharge the field. Else the energy is stored as an electric field around the coil and in the dielectric material between the windings. When the windings share a common connection between the primary and secondary coils the electric field has to be stored on the outside of the induction coil. Metal parts close by may get charged and discharge to the air by ionization or to persons touching them. Thus be careful when experimenting with high voltages. Everything is coupled by the capacitance between them. Hi Mick, "Yes your right it could be an avalanche punching through the gate would look the same as the ferroresonance, using an IGBT but same potential problem." The avalanche happens through the drain-source n- or p-channel. If the gate insulation is punctured the device is destroyed. "I would like to use a snubber without rounding off the corners of my square wave but this may also stop the coil ringing which is what I want." The parasitic body diode of MOSFETs will prevent the oscillations from going below the ground voltage if switching to ground or above the positive voltage if switching to that voltage during magnetization. An AC switch is needed for exceeding the rail voltages like two back to back MOSFETs. Else the oscillations must stay below the voltage between the voltage rails. Or at least when the flyback pulse returns to the zero level is mustn't go below the zero level as this forward biases the parasitic body diode of the MOSFET. This will make the voltage bounce with new flyback pulses instead of a true decaying sine wave oscillation. "Is a snubber cap any different than the same rated polycap?" A dedicated snubber capacitor may have a series resistor integrated for dissipating the energy. If there is a load at the secondary the resistor isn't necessary. If there is nothing to dissipate the energy the oscillations aren't damped and thus goes on forever. This will not happen in a real circuit as real components have some parasitic resistance which will dissipate the energy. Ideal components only exist as simplified mathematical models. Thus a real oscillator must have a little amount of power supplied to keep it oscillating. For extracting energy from the ambient some parametric change has to be made along with the oscillation. In a normal flyback transformer the capacitor in parallel with the switch is chosen to limit the peak voltage and control the flyback time which is one half of an oscillation. The type of capacitor must be able to withstand the repeating voltage peaks and current. A good capacitor has low loss and thus won't heat at the job it is chosen for. The flyback pulse is a parabola or half sine wave. If a square wave is wanted a clipping circuit is needed. A coil and capacitor will make sine wave oscillations. Clipping is done with diodes or some active switching. The energy then has to go into something that can absorb it fast enough. This image is taken from here 'Flyback Converters for Dummies:' http://www.dos4ever.com/flyback/flyback.html http://www.dos4ever.com/flyback/flyback.html. At point a the switch is on. Between point b and c the flyback pulse is generated but is clamped during c to d. This is done by the output load. At point d the voltage drops below the output voltage and oscillates freely until reaching slightly below the ground potential (point e) where the parasitic drain-source diode of the switch is forward biased. Between e and f the oscillation is continued. At point f the switch is turned on again and continues during g where the current increases. The points a and g are the on period where the primary coil is magnetizing the core. Between c and d energy is taken out of the coil. Only a small amount of energy is dissipated during e. This is because of the small resistance of the wire and the voltage drop across the parasitic diode of the MOSFET. If the switch wasn't turned on at f there would have been a damped oscillation until all the energy was dissipated. Ole, Can you elaborate on the E field and H0 Hd based on the capacitor to inductor size in a resonant circuit. In the case of a resonant field of an equal microhenries to microfarads and then a resonant circuit biased towards a larger capacitance or a larger inductor ratio?

Hi Mick,
The resonant frequency is given by the circuit parameters.
MickWhen I get to it, I have some " Sprague Energy Storage Capacitors". They are100uf 4000 volt units, and a bunch of Varian 2.5 uf 10,000 volt caps for tuning.I have been following Sven, but I see that you too are quite close, researching aother angle.Mohamed in Algeria got me on to making capacitors from aluminium foil and heavy construction polyethylene sheet which I have built and tested to 10,000 volts using an oil furnace ignitor transformer. They are easy to make fairly good quality capacitors this way. They don't suffer flash over through the poly, which surprised me.Don't expect them to be micro miniature, but they work just fine.I think I posted his book to the files, but then, I can't see files. I printed hard copy for myself. With all this political upheaval, we lost touch through the Internet. We also investigated powdered iron cores which were promising until the availability of Metglas, here in Canada, made it usable. Hitachi now owns Metglas, and will sell it.Who knows what will be helpful to each other? All we can do is to give it a try.Cheers WarrenSent from Yahoo Mail on Android On Sun, May 6, 2018 at 7:51 PM, Mick [email protected] [EVGRAY]<[email protected]> wrote: Hi Ole, All great points, still thinking about ways of harvest as calcs will get close but there is always the gnats ass final nudge. Hi Mick, "Can you elaborate onthe E field and H0 Hd based on the capacitor to inductor size in a resonant circuit." For high voltage keep the capacitance low and inductance high. For high current it is the opposite way around. At resonance the energy is oscillating between the capacitor and the inductor. By knowing the peak current of the inductor and its inductance the peak voltage of the capacitor can be calculated when also knowing its capacitance. That's because the same amount of energy oscillates between those two components. Magnetic energy stored in an inductor of inductance L and current I: Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnetic_energy https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnetic_energy Electric energy stored in a capacitor: here C is the capacitance and V is the voltage. Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capacitor https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capacitor Knowing the inductance L and the capacitance C makes it possible to calculate the current if knowing the voltage or vice versa. The voltage and current are the peak values which determine the total energy oscillating between the inductor and the capacitor. The two formulas use different letters (E and W) for energy. The terms after the last equal sign of both formulas are just put equal to each other to solve for the voltage or the current when knowing the rest of the parameters. Resonance happens at the frequency where the impedance of the capacitor equals the impedance of the inductor if the resistance (damping) of the circuit isn't too big: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LC_circuit https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LC_circuit. This link applies for an ideal circuit. For a more realistic circuit look up RLC circuit. You may have to study this area yourself. Conventional theory doesn't give much clue as to how to get free energy though. For that purpose different disciplines will have to be studied. Some such areas would be nonlinear physics and wave theory. Those two disciplines allow mixing non-coherent waves into coherent waves. That's a clue to harvesting free energy. Thank You Ole for your Text Book (totally accurate) explanation of the conventional electronics fly-back voltage amplification principles. The Neutral Spike phenomenon is non-conventional Magneto-Electric as explained by Dr. Milewski and others doing research in this EMP producing field. The study of Magnetic flux Annihilation and Reconnect is a big program by NASA and leading Universities and falls far outside of our day to day electronics studies. Research labs have been able to reproduce the phenomenon seen by the Solar Satellites recording the magnetic storms around the sun. I am certain that You guys can replicate the conditions here on this site since I personally have done it in my lab. A true Neutral Spike, EMP is something you just have to observe to fully appreciate its power and quickness. Huge amounts of shear power carried over very small wires at extremely high frequencies. I am not a Neophyte in electronics since I started by studies with DeVry Institute back in 1953. I have always kept up with the technological advances and am fascinated with the new theories and knowledge that is on the horizon. We do not know what we do not yet know! Just saying! Hi Ole, I think your right, even if the math theory was all right there practice and theory are different. At resonance many factors change dramatically. The flyback pulse is also different as this would be another frame of reference and at a certain nodal points may temporarily invert things like the controls of an aircraft inverting at mach speeds. Smith said we need 12 dimensional math to explain this reality, 8 more dimensions than the Kaluza & Klein manifolds which is already insanely complex math. I am not sure where Smith came up with the 12 dimensions as proving much of the KK 5 dimensional theory has taken modern computing hardware. Haha I think I need a tutor, but really getting too much into theoretical math can create infinite series thought holes. As far as cohering the odd energies such as the return strike or neutral spike if one looks to nature one finds a plasma channel. It seems many of the so called free energy devices rely on spark gaps, therefore if we copy nature we can sum these energies. Hi Mick, "Smith said we need 12 dimensional math to explain this reality, 8 more dimensions than the Kaluza & Klein manifolds " W.B. Smith mentions 12 parameters to explain the universe. Electromagnetism is the first six parameters where the first three parameters are the three physical directions at right angle to each other explaining space. Change is the fourth parameter. The electric field is the 5th parameter and magnetism is the 6th parameter. With modern computers and software it is easy to show complex relationships without knowing advanced mathematics. This can be seen in the Rhythmodynamics theory of Yuri N. Ivanov and Gabriel LaFreniere. Simple experiments can also be done to show the relationships. http://rhythmodynamics.com/index_en.htm http://rhythmodynamics.com/index_en.htm "As far as cohering the odd energies such as the return strike or neutral spike if one looks to nature one finds a plasma channel. It seems many of the so called free energy devices rely on spark gaps, therefore if we copy nature we can sum these energies." It is not necessary to use electronics for taking energy out of the cosmic background. Tariel Kapanadze first did it with his mechanical device (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3thvqFhFIfY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3thvqFhFIfY). Then he made his electronic devices. When knowing the principle as given by W.B. Smith 'The principle of Inversion' this principle can be used in all kinds of devices. According to Smith all physical matter is made of charges. This is the particles known as electrons and positrons which are actually just spin and different densities. W.B. Smith and W.J. Hooper even suggest that gravity is caused by the fields of the moving electrons. Inertia is probably because of same reason. The fields communicate with each other. Thus the entire universe is actually electrical and thus a mechanical device is too when seen from micro cosmos. Mr. linear motor Eric Laithwaite https://en.wiki2.org/wiki/Eric_Laithwaite also suggested using the formulas of electronics for describing gyroscopes that radiate some kind of field he claims. Instead of a spark gap semiconductors can be used. Using a transistor or other semiconductor in avalanche mode is like the semiconductor gets a spark through it. This may wear down the semiconductor though. The fast pulse makes everything ring at their resonant frequencies. nsec or psec pulses can excite very high frequencies. But even short wires may ring at those frequencies. This requires designing all connections like transmission lines to get the energy going to where it is wanted (I. Catt's problem when the super-ffast emitter-coupled logic https://wiki2.org/en/Emitter-coupled_logic was invented in the 1950's). Else it radiates in an uncontrolled way. Pierre Cotnoir demonstrated a self-running device that didn't seem to depend on resonance. Resonance is a pain in the butt keeping stable during variable loads. Cotnoir changed loads while the device was running. I hope we will hear more from him. There is a thread on overunity.com about his device. He removed his videos on YouTube two times now. I'm quite sure he made magnetic fields coherre to get the device running without any connected energy source. Forrest Bishop https://wiki.naturalphilosophy.org/index.php?title=Forrest_Bishop has an interesting article about the forbidden equation in physics https://wiki.naturalphilosophy.org/index.php?title=The_Forbidden_Equation:_i_%3D_qc https://wiki.naturalphilosophy.org/index.php?title=The_Forbidden_Equation:_i_%3D_qc i = qc describing current. This is about Ivor Catt's question. Here is another of Bishops articles that looks interesting and I'm going to read sometime: 'Reforming Electromagnetic Units, Equations, and Concepts: An Extension of Ivor Catt’s Theory:' http://www.naturalphilosophy.org/pdf/abstracts/abstracts_6554.pdf http://www.naturalphilosophy.org/pdf/abstracts/abstracts_6554.pdf "Have you built much of the hardware Smith described and experimented with it?" Not really. At least not with the info I have now. Smith never found a way to calibrate his binding force meter. For the tensor beam (Smith coil or caduceus coil) big ferrite tubes are needed. Perhaps such tubes can be made by stacking ferrite rings. Smith was told to experiment and find out by himself how it works. I think the ETs have a non-interference directive they must obey to. We thus have to find out by ourselves and there are things we can't be given as we may destroy ourselves which Hector also warns about. Communication through a tensor beam has no measurable delay according to Smith. Smith never made free energy as to my knowledge. He made energy disappear or perhaps just transmitted it through the tensor beam. I do think several free energy devices use the inversion principle of W.B. Smith. Some of them are the devices of T. Kapanadze, A. Melnichenko, P. Cotnoir, Akula (Roman Karnouhov) and even those of Bob Boyce and Steven Mark. All these devices involves merging separate fields into coherent fields by different sorts of non-linear mixing. Ivor Catt's books: http://www.ivorcatt.co.uk/x3118.htm. http://www.ivorcatt.co.uk/x3118.htm The references to Forrest Bishop's homepage don't work. Catt's theory is a unified theory where electricity magnetism and motion of the fields can't be separated like when introduced in school books where they are separate disciplines like electrostatics and magnetism. According to Catt's theory there's nothing like a steady electric charge as the charge carriers have to always move at the signal speed of the medium they're located in. A static charge may look static but is actual equal amount of charges traveling in opposing directions. The magnetic fields cancel out as well as the speeds in opposite directions. W.J. Hooper shows this too with his motional electric field and W.B. Smith's theory tells the same thing that the fundamental particles die if they're stopped. Hi Mick,
It's not necessary to get too bogged down in mathematics mate; the answer to free energy is not complicated, in fact it is very simple. You don't need a tutor LOL.
Tesla was going to raise the earth's potential to the potential that existed at the top of his tower. Then by driving an earth stake into the ground in the local area near the tower the earth stake's potential was much higher than the surrounding air above ground level. Electrical circuits could be used by this potential difference, and the energy was free.
The 50 ton of iron at the top of the tower was attracting the aether at that height and transferring the potential down through the water pipe deep into the earth. Aether prefers to run in ferrous metal rather than air or non ferrous metal. The water pipe did not come into contact with the earth until it reached it desired depth where it was earthed.
Not much maths needed to know and understand this; it's so simple and these towers were to be all over the earth allowing people to get free energy everywhere.

Hi Norman, Why do you think that the phenomenon can't be explained by transmission line theory? Use the theories that fit the observed experiments and not just the theories of scientific gods like Newton, Einstein and other gods of old theories. If Nature behaves in another way than a theory tells then the theory may not be correct no matter if it was made by a god of science. Just read Ivor Catt's struggle for truth. It is not popular to discredit old theories of science. Engineers look at what works or don't work. A working theory is good for designing a working circuit while a false theory gives lot of problems. Just look at the flat earthers that require very complex theories instead of the simple theories describing globular planets. Not even the religious community of the dark middle age could defend that theory. "A true Neutral Spike, EMP is something you just have to observe to fully appreciate its power and quickness. Huge amounts of shear power carried over very small wires at extremely high frequencies." If the pulse width gets very short the voltage gets very high because of the inductive kick back of the wire. This would transfer high power at low current. The impedance of the wire(s) (actually transmission line) can't be low like the resistance of the copper. Thus for transferring high power the voltage have to be high. When the pulse meets higher resistance the power is dissipated as heat. It is the amount of energy that destroys or evaporates metal. But of course the field strength can do so too like repelling different parts of wires (the Hutchison Effect). Even empty space has impedance and thus shouldn't be treated as empty. This is using a false theory. Thus I like the Catt way of giving even empty space physical properties. This goes back to Oliver Heaviside. The energy is in the space between the lines (electric field and magnetic field and of course the motional fields). I don't think magnetic fields are made of lines or tubes or strings. My guess is they're just ripples or combinations of waves like in the Rhythmodynamics theory. Then matter is clusters of wave patterns becoming stable. Electric magnetic and even gravitational fields are also waves then. And then we're back to transmission line theory as the waves propagate different in different media. All the waves represents energy. Braking a very low impedance generator like Tesla's mOhm impedance generator by shorting the output releases much of the stored mechanical rotational energy in a fraction of a second. This is very high power and this gives huge electromagnetic fields known as an electromagnetic pulse (EMP). If able to immediately mechanical brake the rotor the same amount of energy has to be transferred to the brake which may cut it apart or twist the shaft or separate the rotor from the shaft as Warren has experienced. This is huge power delivered as a short pulse. If knowing the speed and mass of the rotor the energy can be calculated and if also knowing the length of the pulse the power can be calculated too. If the motor also receives power from an external source of power like from the grid this adds even further to the energy and power.

So why can't you use a Bedini neon mofet combo to dump the energy at around 96 volts and save the expensive caps ? Hi Mick, "What is Tesla's mohm impedance generator?" That generator is covered in US patent 447920. Here Nikola Tesla is explaining it: https://books.google.dk/books?id=KRg9HWakBmQC&pg=PA3&lpg=PA3&dq=patent+447920&source=bl&ots=0UjH_D9THu&sig=jQtpZRKMlKElkUz5t_BwmJJ_8Tk&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwi5xqaG-YTbAhXO2KQKHRHfCYwQ6AEISTAH#v=onepage&q=patent%20447920&f=false https://books.google.dk/books?id=KRg9HWakBmQC&pg=PA3&lpg=PA3&dq=patent+447920&source=bl&ots=0UjH_D9THu&sig=jQtpZRKMlKElkUz5t_BwmJJ_8Tk&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwi5xqaG-YTbAhXO2KQKHRHfCYwQ6AEISTAH#v=onepage&q=patent%20447920&f=false The output resistance of the armature was 0.5 Ohm (500 mOhm). The current density could be 30 A/mm2 because of its exceptional cooling. It was with this generator that Tesla discovered the stinging effect of the electric field generated when a short made the wire explode. This gives a very high voltage flyback pulse with the very high peak current that suddenly has nowhere to go without creating a high tension electric field. The stinging was felt behind glass or metal shields. The metal shield was earthed but not totally enclosing the person to be shielded. With the knowledge of EMC technology of today this is not a proper way of shielding HF fields. The ground wire itself has enough inductance to be 'soft' by having high impedance to high frequency signals. Even a Faraday shield has to be of fine enough mesh to not let the waves through. A mobile phone with its GHz frequency let the waves go through holes of bigger size than the wavelength. The stinging effect was what made Tesla start studying HF of high voltage. Ole,
Yes, you are right about GHz frequencies and how difficult it will be to shield from them; The 5G frequencies will be so small like weapons grade and we won't be able to protect ourselves from them and when they decide to cook us we will be history.
