Thank You Ole for your Text Book (totally accurate) explanation of the
conventional electronics fly-back voltage amplification principles.
The Neutral Spike phenomenon is non-conventional Magneto-Electric as
explained by Dr. Milewski and others doing research in this EMP
producing field.  The study of Magnetic flux Annihilation and Reconnect
is a big program by NASA and leading Universities and falls far outside
of our day to day electronics studies. Research labs have been able to
reproduce the phenomenon seen by the Solar Satellites recording the
magnetic storms around the sun.  I am certain that You guys can
replicate the conditions here on this site since I personally have done
it in my lab.   A true Neutral Spike, EMP is something you just have to
observe to fully appreciate its power and quickness. Huge amounts of
shear power carried over very small wires at extremely high
frequencies.    I am not a Neophyte in electronics since I started by
studies with DeVry Institute back in 1953.  I have always kept up with
the technological advances and am fascinated with the new theories and
knowledge that is on the horizon.  We do not know what we do not yet know!

Just saying!  Norm
