Hi, 

 you should try using only 2 phases of 3 phase generator. But better single pahse with neodimium magnets. 
 

 This way you create some 'break for flywill', impulses. Also as motor you have to use single phase or impulse bldc. 
 

 Let us know how it goes, I am working on similar system. Parts are not assembled yet.

InfoI have a friend in Nova ScotiaUsing such a system His flywheel is much smaller, but not only self runs, but speeds up.His flywheel is from an old make and break engine and is not weighted correctly having a counter weight cast 18into it.It shakes the 8"×8" timber stand all around the room, but drives the Canadian tire generator head, and the ac motor driving it.
He has been helping me with my flywheel rig which did just about what yours did.He turns his at 3000 rpm which for an old make and break flywheel, is scary. It shakes and rattles all across the floor, and he kept it going for 30 minutes.Now he is making his next flywheel, and I am helping as I can.My friend Mike, in Toronto, happens to be driving next week to Nova Scotia, to go to his cottage there.I got them together, and now Mike is going to drop by and help him machine the new flywheel  as he is also a machinist, as well as the heat pump guru.(Both are keen to get their electric vehicles self running.)
I have a number of irons in the fire, and am too busy to get away, or I would go there too, and help out.It is 1200 miles from here.Don't give up on your wheel, there's more to it than you might guess, and it seems simple enough to do.I will update you as I get more photos, and details.He has been totally forth coming, with any information, I have asked for, and invited Mike to stay over, on his trip. So cheer up, and keep at it.WarrenSent from Yahoo Mail on Android

Can you remind these guys how to orient big flywheel to earth rotation?? The way that you talk about if too many units like this it will slow the rotation of the earth?

Thanks Warren, my system is all iron and it is quite balanced, as soon  
as I can I will take photos. I made the attempt with the direct  
transmission belts to avoid the wear and tear that would occur with  
the Chas Campbelltra system, the thrust ramp and the small flywheels.  
I also tried to lighten the wheel, with half the weight, but the same  
result, as the load increases, the alternator brakes it. Now I modify  
as Chas says, but I wanted to ask you something: Since it is a large  
flywheel of 2 meters in diameter and weighing over 800 pounds, it has  
to run an 11kwa three-phase alternator (of which the actual yield is  
8kwa) and using as a button system 3 engines of 0.75kw (1HP) with  
flywheels of about 100 pounds positioned around the big wheel every  
120 degrees as suggested by Chas, I wondered how many must be the push  
ramps on the big wheel? ... é enough 1 that receives 3 thrusts per  
rotation?

Thanks Kone, as I said to Warren, it was my curiosity but I noticed  
that in my case, being a balanced system and a big alternator, the  
yield is insufficient, so I try to modify it in a pulsed system as  
Campbell says. My intent is to be able to have about 6 kwa of excess  
current to power my home.

When will you guys understand that a flywheel stores energy similar to a capacitor, except you have dynamic losses, friction etc. so you never get back all the energy input!!

NormanI know, I studied physics too, but yet we have anomalies, in these reports by reputable intelligent people, recounting the experience they have had doing an experiment.My experience; a cement boat?"it will sink"I was told that thousands of times, by members of the public, as I continued to build it on a dock in downtown Toronto.It still is floating 37 years later.I still maintain that if enough people believe something is impossible, it most certainly is, because no one will try it.The gap between concept and reality, is filled with work, and effort.If some way proves futile, then you try it a different way.You are right, the flywheel is a bit like a capacitor, and yet, somehow something is going on that I need first hand experience with, before I can make up my own conclusions.I have a 90 lb wheel in good bearings, sitting in one of the more remote barns, as it is not high priority. I favour solid state, non moving devices delivering over unity, as they may be more trouble free, and quiet running.
When nothing works at the moment, it is nice to hear something go chunka, chunka, and lights go on, even if it is mechanical. So let's keep an open mind, and see where these flywheel devices are at.Just looking at the web, a lot of Indian people have really spent some hard earned bucks, and effort, building rotating follies, to make videos.After 45 years in the film industry, it is hard to imagine them doing videos of those machines for profitThere are some amazingly bad videos, of quite ambitious machinery projects, that seem to run just fine.Sure! I think YouTube are paying them if they allow commercials in the videos. That was the way Ukrainian students financed their living while studying. They made fake news just like the Russian troll factories. The news articles were totally made up and they got paid anyway. By using the EU and US got them paid even more than only allowing local commercials. I think the big IT companies now can get fines when spreading fake news. One of the Russian troll factories were put on fire. Fake news seems to be on the agenda to divide and conqueror.

 There are some amazingly bad videos, of quite ambitious machinery projects, that seem to run just fine.
 Sure! You can fake anything!
 But why bother?

If your Physics have 'anomalies' then its not Physios you studied but some Theory dreamed up by an over paid theorist to institutionalize humanity to keep them from the Truth which has no anomalies.
