Is Thorium Power Being Suppressed?

Nuclear generators are used for generating weapons grade plutonium 239, nothing more, we have been led down the proverbial Garden Path my friends... 
 
 
 Virtually any combination of plutonium isotopes -- the different forms of an element having different numbers of neutrons in their nuclei -- can be used to make a nuclear weapon. Not all combinations, however, are equally convenient or efficient.
 

   The most common isotope, plutonium-239, is produced when the most common isotope of uranium, uranium-238, absorbs a neutron and then quickly decays to plutonium. It is this plutonium isotope that is most useful in making nuclear weapons, and it is produced in varying quantities in virtually all operating nuclear reactors. As fuel in a reactor is exposed to longer and longer periods of neutron irradiation, higher isotopes of plutonium build up as some of the plutonium absorbs additional neutrons, creating plutonium-240, plutonium-241, and so on. Plutonium-238 also builds up from a chain of neutron absorptions and radioactive decays starting from uranium-235.

EXCELLENT INFORMATION now the problem is what can be done ???As far as I can see there is little to nothing can be done they have us by our ?!?!?!?! .  There are too many reactors & high end people to do anything except waste time complaining to politicians WHO WON'T DO A THING EXCEPT  PROMISE HOT AIR &DO 00000  !

Well the nuclear water can be handled .HHO has been shown to reduce nuclear
waste radiation by 90% and mass by 10% .so why don't they use it because
they can bill you for storing it ..for your safety of course. It's been
approved by the Canadian neclear regularly agency years ago. So your just
starting to see the set up of our power plants as a kill event .in the
history books they will say we stupided our selfs to death!!

Plus since radioactive waste is emmitting  radio waves, it seems like you could have those waved do some work producing electrical power such as inducing some nearby generator/pickup coils...

Maybe problem with HHO reduction is now lots of water run through plates and pumps s required so all that water becomes radioactive and was not before

WernerDon't despair. Think of your individual energy problems, and solve those.By being successful on a small scale, it can show others how it can be done.Thorium is available in small quantities.A back yard nuclear generator may not be desireable if your nut case neighbour is building one, considering the mess he made building his garden shed.
Cutting down on simply wasting the energy one consumes, makes the job easier.The end solution may be very simple, and small.Cheers Warren

OK WARREN the setup I have now is a little over 1kw solar panels&8 batterys . My power bill is around $50 $32 of it is for  the meters onlyno use at all !!! Right now I am working on a SELF RUNNING GENERATOR all that's left to do is make the BRUSH HOLDER ,been working on it for 5years I hav'nt said anything about it because it is VERY SIMPLE NO ELECTRONICS &IT is not done when I get the results & some numbers THEN I WILL GIVE THE INFO .

Yeah radium is excellent but it's poisonous like cadmium but not as
poisonous, would prefer some enriched Uranium, it's much safer.

Lot's of elements can be made to produce one of the three particles from
RF or UV, that's the shit THEY don't want you to know about.

But thorium is an excellent fuel and it's true that it's not pushed
because one can't easily build weapons from it.  Toshiba makes one
20x6ft size of a big genset puts out 200kw runs 40 years no muss no fuss.

Addendum: I tried to paste a jpeg of my bill in the last post... so I will attempt to do so once again here... anyway to make the point, my bill was $264.32. per Mo. I hope this one makes it as I wanted you guys to see how they tallied up the score at their office...

WernerI love your thinkingI machine up my brush holders, but one can also simply buy nice industrial ones pretty cheap, (after I had mine made already)phenolic with the linen cloth in it is good, but so is epoxy and glass fiber.Hobart or Lincoln motor generator brushes for pipeline work use DC. with brushes. WernerIf you are in a place with a well stocked plastic merchant, you can get a nice block of teflon, and cut it on the table saw. It is heat resistant and super easy to machine with router, and wood tools.My home made brush holders for the big Kromery converter are just made from acrylic, as they have never gotten hot enough to do any damage.I have also made brass brush holders where I need to have a compact installation, using carbon bronze sintered brushes. I make the coil springs on the lathe, wrapping berrilium copper wire around a mandrel.After Nafta, such materials have no longer been stocked at local suppliers.I bought a big roll of wire that must have been WWll vintage, when I was doing a manufacturing run on home made cast bronze sailboat winches for my schooner. I needed coil ratchet springs, and nobody sold them, so like almost everything else, I made them, learning how, and being independant of market forces.It has served me well in life, being self sufficient, sourcing "stuff that things are made of", and rendering it into to things I need.It has worked for everything from custom computer controlled custom full color LED descrete chips, to bronze skylight hinges.Once you get used to it, making stuff becomes a way of life, and an interesting livelyhood, as other people need things that don't exist.I have now retired, from the business world, concentrating my efforts on being self sufficient in a very rural place, amid 150 year old stone, and timber, buildings, which my wife, and I, are restoring, living, and working from.
I think the energy issue is something we all need to deal with, and I am working to do my part, as I can.I have plenty of space for energy examples of self sufficiency, and fortunately the communication skills to share these working examples, once they are completed.Cheers Warren
