DougIts running quite sweet at 160 ma., like it could do that for ever, much the same as a hard drive.Having the hall on a micrometer depth gauge adjustment would be the cat's ass, but even so, you are nailing it, just as you are doing.
There is no reason why you can't make this whole rig, minus the wire and bearings etc , out of urethane plastic, cast in silicone rubber molds, for instance Smooth On system, in your own home, because there is no smell, and it holds dimension perfectly.Who wouldn't want a light weight suitcase generator, as quiet as yours, with no smelly fuel?As usual, I'm putting the cart before the horse.So now, it is a matter of lenzless extraction from your generator coils, to see if the load changes?It seems, timing is everything, suggesting that a total mechanical solution might work, where components are locked in relationship to each other, using brushes, or even brushless technology, like a Dewalt 20 volt driver, but there we go, into Arduino.Keep at it, we are on pins and needles.Cheers Warren

DougI can likely get my Muller moved out of a barn, where it is doing no good, and into the house, where I might be able to drive it, making some of the coils, motoring drivers. As you might remember, I did something that was not very clever, it turns out, by have an unequal magnet to coil relationship number.
The means I must trigger my motor coils from some other method, maybe even brushes and mechanical commutators, from a shaft?As long as the motor solenoids work like disc brake calipers on either side of the magnet disc, balancing the push, or pull, the rotor shouldn't deflect, and wobble.My initial tests put me off the unit when my air cored extravaganza detected lenz effect.Easily distracted wimp that I am, I sort of lost interest in it, for the next shiny offering on the dream horizon.Your commendable patience draws me back to giving it another go, as, after all, there is a lot of work tied up in the construction of it  to simply drop the ball, at the last minute.The first task is to remove all the ferric dust from those powerful magnets that just gets sucked out of the air, by virtue of laying around in ancient barns for a year.I am going to try my old masking tape trick, to get rid of this contaminating dust from the magnets.Each and every circuit of each coil will have to be checked for continuity, with all the rough treatment of moving.A couple of drops of oil on the competition skate board bearings, and get out the solder and iron.Cheers Warren

I did some tests and you know I have two separate coils sharing the ferrite core...one coil was meant to be the motor coil while behind it and about 4 times longer in length and wire length and ohms is what was meant to be the generator coil.
So I ran it by pulsing the motor coil and goit it up to speed then totally shorted out the generator coil and it lugs and brakes from Lenz law them reversed the coils around and pulsed the higher ohms generator coil and shorted out the lower ohms motor coil...both ways caused lugging and braking of rotor so next step is pulse ou to load or capt the coil I choose to be the generator coil and time it to be pulsed out simultaneous or delayed a bit with some overlap or delayed with no overlap amd/or multiple output pulsed timed at various points and pulsewidth I want to play around with  in relation o motor coil pulse width and finally I want to try out shortimgn the generator coil winds at various peak periods with very quick short and collect the hyper ringing into caps after running through a fwbr so I need to set up another hall and mosfet relay to start next round of xperiments.

Your 9 ? Rotor magnets just means you need to be all N on polarity facing no big deal.
Also no big deal on the extreme Lenz braking you saw that just means it is making twice as much.power as normal design generator since both ends of Rotor magnets are doing wprk, not.just one. And so you get more Lenz braking too but also it becomes superiormotor design too.
.imagine power.you will have as motor of 9slat copper commutatorand 10 motor brushes e wry 36 degrees. ( if yours is 9magnets and 10 coil positions)
I would suggest copper commutator and brushes if you want to try peak coil shorting to beat Lenz law braking.  Airvoils should l work fine with it, or ferrite coed will too.
 Just have ability to do very short.pulse widths and try multipme shorts per peak period too.trick is filling vsps only dump caps by themselves to load in two stage.process.
Other way to beat.lenz is the Thane Karl Heinz approach find the sweet spot window in rpms where the delayed Lenz effect works...for 9 rotor magnets I will guess 4000 rpms around there so you might want to belt and pilley.it to a motor for this and have good control of rpms for.this too since window will be narrow, such as under 3900 will not work and above 4100 will not work...coils  impedance and inductance matter a lot as well as the loading too ...i don't think airvoils will notwork so well for this but mightnot treadmill motor and variac might be good for finding rpm window for delayed Lenz at first.
