Hi Warren,

I think the stator core is OK. It has 12 slots and three phases. It's probably wound as a 6 poled stator having 3 NS-pole pairs. It will have to be rewound to shifting poles if it is to work the way Pierre Cotnoir does it. For six poles in a 24 slot stator each pole takes four slots.

The new windings could take six slots per pole as Pierre's stator does. This will make it a four poled stator. This can then be driven by six phases like the way Pierre does it. When shifting the six phases six times the poles have made one fourth of a revolution and the original north (or south) poles have changed to its opposite poles.

Regards
Ole

Hello fellas,
All makes sense up until the extraction of the core from the motor.
Why extract the the core,  seems like a good platform as is ?

Hi Warren,

Perhaps the stator can be used as it is according to the Molina-Martinez patent application that Gerry refers to at the ferd yahoo group: https://patents.google.com/patent/US20030168921A1/en https://patents.google.com/patent/US20030168921A1/en

This patent application also claims excess energy without having to step through the poles. The poles are the normal fixed ones made rotating by using three phased alternating current. This is the normal Tesla rotating field.

Ole

HI Mark
I think because is thinking of doing the "DZ generatof" by Pierre Cotnoir which has no moving parts and has a rotating feld sequentially pulsed around the statndard motor frame stators and the rotor is fixed with windings around them:

GerryDon't have a need to appologise, this is not a private m, and wow! Your input is certainly welcome.I don' t have a clue what I am doing.I am a materials and processes guy.If I know what it looks like, and what it does, I can likely make it, as long as the information, I am getting, is correct. The insides of ac electric motors have been voodoo magic, whenever I have taken one apart. They are not intuitive. The forces at play are invisible, just looking at the parts and pieces when you take it appart. There is no mechanical contact for the eyes to perceive. That central armature core seems to contain nothing of mechanical interest, except being made of laminations tightly packed together.Who would imagine that it could turn by itself without contact? It is complete madness that someone actually brought these things together to run on electricity, and they actually work.Such a mind was indeed awsome. So now here we are trying to ponder the next step. This is going to take every mind we can muster, trying to figure it out, and then build them. That motor coil I took out is an impressive bit of craftsmanship that appears to be quite a challenge to duplicate, let alone build something even better, on the bones of that one. What I appear to lack is the coceptual framework of what we hope to acheive. How are the people who are making these things work doing it?Cheers Warren

Hi Warren, OleExcuse me barging in on your conversation here.
Just like to say if you are looking at implementing the Molina-Martinez patent mentioned above. While you are there... download this one also.... https://patents.google.com/patent/US20040007932
It is virtually identical effect claimed by another person "Chung Hyung".This one is a good read because it goes into detail about how to wind the input & output windings in the slots. It also shows some other techniques to make the magnetic field move pole to pole ...if using single phase etc.
eg Shaded pole or phase shifting capacitor (like with Hectors RV ing technique).

Hi Warren, Ole
Excuse me barging in on your conversation here.

Just like to say if you are looking at implementing the Molina-Martinez
patent mentioned above.
While you are there... download this one also....
https://patents.google.com/patent/US20040007932

It is virtually identical effect claimed by another person "Chung Hyung".
This one is a good read because it goes into detail about how to wind the
input & output windings in the slots.
It also shows some other techniques to make the magnetic field move pole to
pole ...if using single phase etc.

eg Shaded pole or phase shifting capacitor (like with Hectors RV ing
technique).

DougGoing through earlier numbers of that youtube link you just sent, it sure looks just like the core doo dah I just yanked out of that nice German 3 phase motor.
Maybe because I haven't done one yet, it sure looks tough to get such a neat, and tidy, job of doing the winding of that magnet wire. The string tie down of the fine stranded wire would win first place at any crafts fair, and certainly looks done by hand. The guy's core in the video is not quite to the same standard of string work as this one on my dining room table.Man! It is still blowing a blizzard out there. One has to psych one's self up, to put on boots, parka, and gloves, to working in an unheated stone building, with walls two foot thick. It just sucks every bit of heat out of warm biology even though the pictures show it as romantic as a Christmas card. It was meant to have horses in it, burning hay, donating their heat to it, like some massive heat capacitor. I don't have horses. We have a couple of black Labs. They are no fools. They go where it is cosy. No heat to the gods of the stone barn from them. There is a woodstove. Hah!I can burn wheel barrows of cord wood day in, and day out, before that giant capacitor is full.Studies show almost no difference between the heating bills of these solid stone houses, and modern insulated R30 homes, once drafty old windows have been replaced with double glazed thermal windows, which we have. But, all said, this winter, at minus 27 C my stone workshop is one cold bastard of a place to work in. I find my bare hands stick to heavy iron objects in a most painful way, my breath fogging the view to what I am working on.Horses, you just put a load of hay in front of them, and they happily munch away keeping the place warm. Who would have thunk it?Having spent most of my life in the city, with a couple of too brief marine forays to the tropics, it is hard to believe people actually settled here, given how long, and cold, these winters are.Ok, on with the boots, and quit snivelling! Flywheel power to those who don't understand what to do with a 3 phase core? The ac generator doesn't respond to "flashing". Actually, it is even worse. After flashing the two slip rings with 15 volts dc at 25 amps), I lost the 3.5 volts it would show on my meter, turning 60hzat 3y00 rpm.I saw a youtube video where a guy fixed his by changing the "thingie" gizmo with a similar company after market part. With this information, I assume a cap was toast, and replacing it might work.Likely, the part number tells you nothing useful except go to your dealer and pay him money to make it better.Maybe I cam turn the generator on, and use my RV capacitor box until it starts generating electricity?Cheers Warren

HI Mark

I think because is thinking of doing the "DZ generatof"  by Pierre Cotnoir which has no moving parts and has a rotating feld sequentially pulsed around the statndard motor frame stators and the rotor is fixed with windings around them:

Hi Warren, Ole,According to those patents and some other Russian information from friend Alexey on Ferd site.
This is how it goes....For BLDC Outrunner motors we can take apart the windings and rewind each pole as a bifilar winding. One winding is then a primary the other is a secondary. Hooked in Star or Delta as required.
Each pole around the outside becomes a little power transformer of it's own. Only the magnetic field from each transformer is chased around the outside by a rotating magnet (the outer rotor).Amplifying the input field.
We can rewind 3 phase motors by same way doubling up the winds (with a primary and secondary) if there's space to do so.
The drawback with 3 phase motor's is it sucks much energy out of the input field.... just to mechanically rotate the rotor which has large slip angle & is driven by Eddy currents.
So again each 3 phase winding is then an input and output transformer with ADDITIONAL extra external magnetic field not used in a normal transformer. This EXTRA field rotates around the circular core at exactly same speed as input current's field and arrives back at each coil/transformer just in time to re-enforce the original field. This apparently amplifies the original field.
So main thing with 3 phase motor is to remove the energy sucking rotor & fill the space with low eddy current but good conductor of magnetic field. In the patents they say stacked laminates ....but thinking stuffing the space with Ferrite powders even Iron filings in epoxy might work.

Hi Warren,

Perhaps the stator can be used as it is according to the Molina-Martinez patent application that Gerry refers to at the ferd yahoo group: https://patents.google.com/ patent/US20030168921A1/en

This patent application also claims excess energy without having to step through the poles. The poles are the normal fixed ones made rotating by using three phased alternating current. This is the normal Tesla rotating field.

Hi Warren, Ole,
According to those patents and some other Russian information from friend
Alexey on Ferd site.

This is how it goes....
For BLDC Outrunner motors we can take apart the windings and rewind each
pole as a bifilar winding.
One winding is then a primary the other is a secondary. Hooked in Star or
Delta as required.

Each pole around the outside becomes a little power transformer of it's
own.
Only the magnetic field from each transformer is chased around the outside
by a rotating magnet (the outer rotor).
Amplifying the input field.

We can rewind 3 phase motors by same way doubling up the winds (with a
primary and secondary) if there's space to do so.

The drawback with 3 phase motor's is it sucks much energy out of the input
field.... just to mechanically rotate the rotor which has large slip angle
& is driven by Eddy currents.

So again each 3 phase winding is then an input and output transformer with
ADDITIONAL extra external magnetic field not used in a normal transformer.
This EXTRA field rotates around the circular core at exactly same speed as
input current's field and arrives back at each coil/transformer just in
time to re-enforce the original field.
This apparently amplifies the original field.

So main thing with 3 phase motor is to remove the energy sucking rotor &
fill the space with low eddy current but good conductor of magnetic field.
In the patents they say stacked laminates ....but thinking stuffing the
space with Ferrite powders even Iron filings in epoxy might work.

Gerry

using a DC rotor with same diameter will do the same opening its commutators to star configuration ..

but why not try a 3 phase transformer as is same shit ?

fact you will have no kinetic condenser effect , neither the power factor correction a PM rotor brings ..

It is complete madness that someone actually brought these things together to run on electricity, and they actually work.
Such a mind was indeed awsome.

This patent application also claims excess energy without having to step through the poles. The poles are the normal fixed ones made rotating by using three phased alternating current. This is the normal Tesla rotating field.

In the patents they say stacked laminates ....but thinking stuffing the space with Ferrite powders even Iron filings in epoxy might work.

using a DC rotor with same diameter will do the same opening its commutators to star configuration ..

but why not try a 3 phase transformer as is same shit ?

fact you will have no kinetic condenser effect , neither the power factor correction a PM rotor brings ..

but why not try a 3 phase transformer as is same shit ?

Just like to say if you are looking at implementing the Molina-Martinez patent mentioned above. While you are there... download this one also.... https://patents. google.com/patent/ US20040007932
It is virtually identical effect claimed by another person "Chung Hyung".This one is a good read because it goes into detail about how to wind the input & output windings in the slots. It also shows some other techniques to make the magnetic field move pole to pole ...if using single phase etc.
eg Shaded pole or phase shifting capacitor (like with Hectors RV ing technique).

Ole

Ole

Keep us in mind when you find out about his heat pump that is in your old shop, if I remember correctly you said it was running on 120 volt I for one would like to know if it is a store bought Model or did he make this unit himself.

Doug
We just scrapped such a furnace that was heating my studio in Toronto.
It was perfectly OK, and ran on natural gas, with a nice stainless steel heat exchanger.
Yes, scrapped, me?
The gas company charges a flat rate delivery charge of $50. Per month, whether you use any, or not just to keep those pipes safely in the ground.
Any gas you use is on top of that fee.
This is twelve months per year!
So you are a frigging insullation freak and go R30. Baby, you are still paying that delivery charge.
My friend Mike, installed an electric heat pump, in a solid endorsement of my purhaps delusional be lief that we can make electricity, some day.
The gas service has been cut off along with the compulsory service charges saving $600/ year plus the gas burnt.
What a winter to test a heat pump!
It has been -27C even there, in Toronto.
It is toasty warm, quiet, and is costing
way less then the warm winter we had last year.
It is just an air to air heat pump.
The way to go is a liquid heat exchanged in the floor system, based on geo thermal and solar thermal combined, the pumps run by our voodoo electricity
Mike is super experienced, buil ding these systems for high end clients, who enjoy the luxury of heated floors, and radiant dust free, silent heat, free of drafts. Oh, and costing nearly nothing to the energy companies for heat.
I hear the stone barn calling for it, and my Caterpiller idling ready to go for it.
Cheers Warren

Maybe you need one of those industrial gas burners with fan that runs off big propane or whatever tank, that you see in auto shops usually be hanging off ceiling....and/or the propane blower heaters they use in construction, to dry out rooms so drywall mud will dry....these will leave thin film of propane over everything sometimes but maybe point it at your stone walls, heat those up....
Electric heated work-overalls are good thing too....
Maybe make an "inner chamber" (igloo) just for you, a heater, and your tools bench and projects
ciaoKone
