Doug and all
Does anyone know what kind of Alt this is or anything about what country this is from, an Altenator to start running and turning a Generator this easy something had to be altered inside. This looks really simple if we can find an info about it.

Hi Steve
He is speaking Indonesian, as I popped his description into bing translator and it works for that lanquage....at first I thought it was phillipines, but he lanquage did not sound filipino and filipinio did not work in translator...
Notice Ashweth wrote to him in comments!
This is good he is still around looking at the free energy machines out there....
I am somewhat convinced it is legitimate because of the way he pulls the plug and tries a few times to get it to loop when he plugs it back in...
He seems nice guy and excited about it - I would say on the right is a common generator from a typical gas-run genset, and he replaced the gas motor with what looks like a car alternator working as a motor - I will bet that is a permanent magnet rotor inside that alternator.....there are a few of these you can buy and have neodymium magnets in side of them, (usually advertised as wind turbine generators)
or else he just took apart a car alternator, and glued and wedged three permanent magnets at 130 degrees in there in rotor in place of the rotor of windings as is normal in car alternator...
Also they sell some truck alternators that have permanent magnets...
Try writing to him in Indonesian see if he will answer...Funny name
"Sss" maybe this means to be quiet about it...
 ciaoKone
Doug
What got my attention on the Altenator starting out like a CYCLONE pulling the Generator it has to have a lot of torque to start the armature in that thing that fast I suppose that as small as the inverter is it is probable 250 watts,Darn I was going to go back and look at something and the video has been took down, well I am just glad that We got to see it

Doug, SteveWhat was it? I was too late to see what it was made up as.Give us a brief description of the setup, as you understand it.Speculate as to what was going on.There are not too many completely off the wall ideas, that really work, we don't have at least a working zone idea of what is happening, even though we might not yet be able to replicate them.Projects on the go: inertia flywheel and motors, generator, driven by belts.( how can one not, having all the apparatus, already?) I just picked up a pair of 3" diameter bearings that turn as sweetly as one could wish for, and cost $2.95 each. They should be perfect for a 90 lb flywheel. The Zilano, Kapanadze, Don Smith reverse Tesla experiments. These of course, are related to the Tesla spiral coil, and induction stove top, not to forget their cousins, the Jewel Thieves, etc. Then there is that line of DC motors, all daisy chained with bridge rectifiers, which keeps haunting the conscousness, for a redo.We have the watersports, good weather, outdoors, water sprinkler driven generator tricks to play with. Can this really work? We really don't know, but it would be fun if it does. ( again, this costs nothing, as we have all the apparatus)
Right now, I am just toiling under piles and piles of apparatus, tools, and major machinery, keeping them out from under relentless rain, two foot thick sweating stone walls that have been - 27 C for weeks on end, then, now are +15C and raining. These are the times I miss my warm dry well lit studio in the city.I have the potential buildings here, but must heat all these primitive buildings, and make all of them electrically useful. The charm lies in being independant of the grid.Cheers Warren

Hi Warren
IT was a generator out of a common typical gas-powered gen set (probably about 1000W type) and this was mounted direct to shaft to what looked like a regular car alternator.
At first he spun the generator with the "car alternator" ( I assume this a permanent magnet type, or modified to permanent magnet rotor and is what is the prime mover/motor half of it)
And so at first he ran it with a battery and invertor connected to power the motor/car alternator....
Then he disconnected both and did a quick switch of the output of the genset into the inpuit of the motor (very similar to when you run RV on grid and have to very quickly plug in an invertor while RV spins is how it looked)
He failed a few times to quickly "loop it" like this with the quick switchver...
But got it to work, and it ran by itself.
Then he ran some stuff with it while it ran by itself like a grinder and heater and light.......
It was very low-tech stuff going on and the guy was from Indonesia...
 ciao

I'll see if I can pass it on to you as an attachment Kone my friend...

Nope! They even took the copy I had saved in my video files in case youtube decided to do that... Live and learn, save in zipstyx's.
I think also he wrapped a rope around the shaft, and pulled it to make it spin, then did the quick-switchover to loop it with regular grid plug and terminal strip (but now not connected to grid or invertor)
I cant remember actually if he did do the rope-start or not however - will need to see the video again....
I saw Ashweth wrote him in comments, he told him to spend 200 bucks on some sort of provisional patent or license-like thing Ashweth knows about, so it is safe, then make anyone interested sign non-disclosure.....maybe he took Ashweth's advice and so took down video...also others wanted to start business with him too and gave him their emails - maybe he got a bunch of bucks on condition he goes secret is what I am saying but who knows maybe all fake for all we know....
He had funny first name like "Madyu" (no idea) but last name was "sss" all this was in youtube comments we cannot see anymore.
They said he himself pulled the video, it was not banned by youtube......
 ciaoKone

You are really good at finding things on the web have you time to locate these two pieces the unit he is using for a motor and the Generator

SteveYou will like my desiign for a Clem machine based on an old beyond best before date propane cylinder bottles. It uses a 20 lb bottle, empty, of course.Cut off the guard around the valve, and the bottom ring, carefully, not to damage the pressure vessel. Remove the valve
Screw in a long pipe nipple into the tank where you removed the valve.Place the tank in the metal lathe fastening to the pipe nipple.Turn the chuck by hand with the lathe in neutral making sure it is centered and true. Put a hole saw in the tail stock that is the minor diameter of the pipe thread for a two inch diameter pipe nipple.Thread the tank while on the lathe ( by hand) using a pipe tap for 2"npt.Fasten in a pipe nipple after turning a land for a 55mm ID bearing.Remove the tank from the lathe and arc weld the tank to the pipe nipple which is fastened threaded in to the tank, holding it tight in place.Turn a piece of steel round stock to match your generator shaft size and the other end to the pipe diameter of the tank valve thread, allowing a bearing land.Next, 8 rows of six 1/8" street elbows are drilled and tapped around the diameter, pipe plugs drilled with 1/16" hole in eachNow this next item is actually wonderful. It is a steel squirrel cage industrial fan that the inside just clears the elbow nozzles. This fan is the chassis for mounting bearings, pump and generator, in addition to being the thrust stops for the jets. The entire assembly is then placed in a 50 gallon drum. Then automatic tansmission fluid is filled to the intake joint. The lower pump delivers 20 ' head, and the upper motor is 3 hp DC motor, then generator, we invert to drive the lower pump.EnjoyCheers Warren

That sounds like the roto verter the Aussie guy made a one horse DC motor
connected to a RV turned to gen ? But the current and voltage ran Thu the
gen to a DC motor became a gen with 120 from the RV going Thu it ..kono ist
that one I showed you that was real strange. on panacea web page PDF ? On
the I couldn't figure out what's what.

HI Mark

It says in description this has small batteries inside motor!

Maybe this is not true, and this is only said to distract from fact it DOES work in a reverse psychology fashion....
 Who knows eh.

 ciao

Hi DarrellThank you, I finally have seen it thanks to you sending a link I can pick up on my cell phone. If that is a universal ac, dc washing machine motor, I have one like that.I posted a picture a couple of years back asking what it was ( I got no response)The alternator looks like a pretty normal auto unit from the outside. Boaters have been putting speaker magnets inside of them to use as wind generators for a couple of decades. My home made wind generators seemed to out perform them when we compared on the morning VHF net in the various cruiser anchorages. I was just using permanent magnet DC motors with a five, foot two by four, cedar propeller, so I never got excited. This Asian man is doing something pretty interesting with his neat and tidy rig.I wonder how much he might charge to build one if you enquired? Or ten?Hector might know what to do with such devices, where he is.
That was believeable with the false start. It is very similar to the RV, except I used a double pole double throw switch , rather than fumble with plugs. As usual, I am baffled by the physics, except there is that big capacitor.Intriguing? Don't you think?Something may be going on with this one. I would bet on buying one if it were fairly priced, and I had the money to throw away in shipping, customs, and all the hassel, for no other reason except curiousity. The generator also looks like one of my Honda 500 watt units, kind of auto alternator looking. He seems a pretty handy guy, quite capable of coming up with something, based on his own thinking, using his own money. My gut feeling about him is that he is real, and no fraud. So I give him a passing mark, and a thumbs upCheers Warren
