 Me too, my gut feeling is its no fraud and is real...
 I notice that bigger white capacitor seems to have 3 prongs to it so might be 3ph motor....maybe it is alternator converted to motor I don't know...
 I wrote him twice now on youtube comments section and translated into Indonesian - so far no response....

 I assume you are talking about the small motor with two coils each side and small neos whirling around......it says rignt in description its fake and small batteries inside motor but who knows....also thumbs down on this but who knows maybe original poster had it working, but people copy it and post it is fake with hidden batteries we just don't know anything really...

Good on you DougI have those type of alternators but haven' t taken them apart.I know you can get 140 volts out of a normal Delco to run universal power tools, like grinders and drills. They used to sell the kit for doing this to your Chevy at auto parts stores.It seemed to be just a switch and an aluminium heatsink with something potted in it with black epoxy.Again, I never took one apart back then.My 1954 Chev truck had a generator, and was only six volts, and my car was then a Citroen 2CV.So in short, ordinary alternators can put out high voltage if you by pass the voltage regulator, I suspect. They are multi phase, and rectify.I suspect these little Chinese two stroke generators use such an automotive alternator hacked, then inverted to AC.Our guy might be following that direction.Cheers Warren

 I watched the Indonesian video a few more times, and that sure looks like a car alternator on the left side! 
 I looked at Universal AC DC motorsm and  they have (what I have seen)  two brushes at 180 degrees  on both sides of shaft  at one end of shaft, and the brushes are very visible too, but I see none of these on the presumed motor on left side, and it looks just like a common car alternator to me still, also there are only three wires going into it (red white blue) so this also makes me wonder if it is car alternator...
 .Also look at the presumed generator/alternator on the right - for sure this looks just like a generator out of a common genset, but maybe he is using that as motor (somehow) and note there are two wires coming from it, so it must be single phase.... thinking backwards, maybe this is not a genset generator but a motor for a waterpump or electric rickshaw/motorcycle....(doubt it) but he has an earlier video with a rickshaw that has solar panels mounted on it....he shows the invertor he uses later (but with label off) and it is 1500W type, and 230VA....so if this is AC to AC motor generator, he is running on 230VAC I presume and will guess..
 I looked up converting car alternators into motors ....doesn't seem so practical to do unless 3ph and you have 3ph controllers I don't think he uses these in video.......
 

 could be his :car alternator: rotor is specially made with permanent magnets in it, and stators also special, in that they hug the stator housing, and it becomes an AC motor.....I have built motors like this (that run on AC) but mine were "axial: like flat disc muller designs, but no reason not to do it all inside a car alternator housing and would not be that difficult either here is video I did of my permanent-magnet AC motors that work great as you have two magnets on each side of coil, pulling and pushing same time...at 1:20 I explain, at 2:20 it should make sense....anyways imagine doing something just like this all contained into car alternator housing....(tthis AC motor design one of best thing I have come up with) IFthat generator on right side makes 60hz for example at 1800 rpm (4pole) or 60hz for example at 3600rpm (2 pole) then you could construct the AC motor inside the car alternator housing to synch up with what the generator makes by either 4 N-S magnets, or 2 larger size N-S magnets and corresponding coil sizes within the stator housing

Has anyone here tried simply hooking a motor to a generator besides the RV? 

 If so what were the results?

DougI have a hunch that he is doing something quite simple, and we are over thinking this perhaps.My 90lb flywheel is going to be mounted on a shaft with bearings.Once completed, I will pester everybody with motor ideas. This is the inertia belt driven type of device we see so often.I just had to do it, since I have the bits and pieces to make it.Although my big lathe is still in Toronto, this is a little thing that I can do with simple tools.My drill presses and wood lathe are here.I might just go with a plastic hub, turned from grey pvc.The snow has finally gone with several days of heavy rain this week.Stone buildings serve as heat capacitors.The house walls are 32" solid stone, while the barns are 24" thick.We had those warm days, and it was like working in a freezer in the stone barn.After several warm days, I feel like I can finally get some work done.Next year, I hope to have heat installed in tubes under the floor like it is common in Germany, and use heat pumps. Even not insulated, once you heat stone it just radiates for days.My neighbours with stone houses are not paying any more to heat than those with modern construction of the same floor area. Hi MickYes I have, doing that crazy Doug Kone replication of mine several years ago.I forget the exact numbers, as it was not the point of the experiment, but it was more than the setup was drawing at source using 12 volts from a 5 amp battery, then inverter, variac, rectifier bridge, and then that daisy chain of big DC motors with full wave rectifiers off the brushes.Anyway, I belted a motor off one of those ten motors in a line which were honking out full speed as the voltage increased with each additional motor, somewhere in the middle of the row, just because it was an easy place to mount another motor on one that had a pulley already. All I can remember now, is that it put out more voltage and amperage than the meter showed I was drawing for the whole ten motors, at source.There should be an account in our files even though poorly reported by me at the time.You remind me that I need to repeat that experiment under careful scrutiny, making sure to record it this time. I had a couple of witnesses to it, who just happen to drop in, One was a film client, and the other was from next door. They were so impressed by it, that I was getting free beer years later, and hearing the story greatly exaggerated by people who were not there. It was good for my business, I guess, when my name came up, but I ended up getting so many gigs it left me no time to experiment, and have fun.My assistant was not happy with the mess of motors in my workshop, and took them all down to the basement, when we got that monster film, "Pacific Rim".

 With stacked axial (flat disc rotors) also now both ends of magnets (not just the coils) do work too! At least the magnets in center rotors, if for example 5 magnet rotor...

 I have tried it a lot- what always kills it is the lenz law of the generator when it sees the load of the motor!  Need to have lenz-free generators then all is good and easy.

concerning THE GEMENI MOTOR I saw it a few years back & I think theres more to it than having magnets on both sides of the coil???Has anyone tried to dup[licate it ???

Makes sense that your version of Doug's system would work as the FWB and inductances worked to decouple the motor you chose to belt up.

I recall as a little kid as most little kids do who think of these things, why not hook a motor to a generator.
As I grew up around many technical people I would always ask this question and received the lectures of efficiency, bearing resistance, thermodynamics laws etc.  My final question was yeah but have you tried it?
No one I had met had ever tried it and I could tell my questions quickly annoyed some, specially the final question.  "Kid didn't you hear what I just told you about efficiency."I often thought when I get enough money I am going to buy a motor and generator and try this.
Did not recall these events until just the other day.  As life goes on memories we think of as kids melt away.
Of course I have never tried it!

 I don't tink it's as elegant as the Muller by any stretch, just cool it's another balanced design rather than single ended.
