The Clem rotor idea

DougI hope you can see this rotor I made up in the Canadian Tire store out of parts in the electrical isle.The plastic conduit is the same size as shed 40 pipe, so it is compatible with white cpvc water pipe fittings which can glue on to this Pvc with solvent glue.I have lots of solid cylinders of pvc in my collection for turning on the lathe, plus sheets of different thickness which are all compatible with each other. It machines better than MDF with either metal or wood working machines. It cuts like a dream on the band saw too.Cheers Warren

Viktor Schauberger also made something like this using water. Each nozzle is delivering 17.5 Hp. Schauberger's devices ran into destruction just like Richard Clem's first device did. When reaching some critical speed it becomes self-propellant. A controller or a regulator is needed to prevent self-destruction of this kind of devices.

 Did you try making a Clem type device?
 

 My understanding is that the fluid should be really loose and available in the center and the pressure should change most right at the furthest edge of circumfrence.
 

 So two concave disks face to face and at the outer part where the nozzles are is where the pipe gets tight.
 

 Kind of like a transformer with lots of current in the center and most of the voltage rise at the far outside winding.  However there is a ratio of rise between the two disks and another at the nozzle.
 

 An interesting way to think of it as the electric metaphor as it's current into voltage but with a slope of gain more, gain staged rather than a single jump.

OleYou have included a most interesting illustration.The fluted steel band on the inside of the cyinder can be ribbed rubber matting cut crosswise, across the length of the roll, then glued to the inside of the surrounding band to catch the spray from the nozzles. Those twisted nozzle jets are quite a construction. Perhaps brass sheet, silver soldered into that shape, first worked out using cardboard stiff paper to get the shape and structure.of the horns. One can see how the vortex would be formed that would be benefitual.Cheers Warren

 I cannot see that photo of yours again...just a black box with X in the middle again.....
 Yahoo only accepts 15mb of file space when you send a file via attachment in email....maybe this is problem??
 Also could be your camera has a stranbe file extension like ".cam" or something....if it is jpg for sure it should work....if bmp maybe this makss it of too much space.
 I don't know could be just my browser if others can see your photos this is probably it.......I can never see your photos unless you put them in photos section, or send hyper link so something on web....also I can never see Norms photors either....
 On subject of Clem motor, the fluid is supposed to get very hot maybe PVC will melt in very serious version,.....maybe use the type made for very hot water to flow?
