MickRather than respond to spam,do you have a soldering iron handy?Patrick Kelly attempted to document a little Arduino interface circuit to drive a three phase brushless Samsung washing machine motor, though it may work for any motor of this type.I am receiving reports of as much as 30 KW being produced in this manner, totally unverified. As I have written before, it involves 400 pulses per second DC of about 1 amp applied to the 36 coils(divided up into 3 sets of 12) in sequence. This produces a crazy amount of repulsion against the magnets, boosting the .9hp motor to something like 18.5hp.I have been thinking this is worth a try, because for me, it is very cheap to do, having most of the stuff laying around unemployed.Mounting the rotor to a shaft is a bit of a bitch, using that 21 tooth female spline hub on the supplied rotor.A clever colleague in Sweden just knocked the plastic hub off and made one from aluminium with a normal hole and key way and a disc with three tapped holes to take the rotor. This spirit shit is just taking up productive experiment time playing mind games. Just hit spam, and you will get more work done, rather than just wasting your time responding. I think he's a plant.Other such forums are experiencing similar characters doing the same kind of disruptions. JamesI am home. UK was more than a month ahead of us for Spring.A crazy busy time of year hereBack EMF? Well maybe, to time the Arduino. I just don't understand how it works, so I am building one, to examine it close up.Cheers Warren Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android On Thu., 16 May 2019 at 6:35 p.m., James Glinski [email protected] [EVGRAY]<[email protected]> wrote: Warren are they doing anything with the back EMF ?.are you home yet ? JamesYou don't have to write a program, just download the software. It has been done already for the Arduino.See and read Patrick Kelly's chapter 32.It's all there complete with links to the free program, done by volunteers, capable, like you son, to do that sort of thing.Every moment I spend doing it, reminds me I could be doing something fun, like taxes, or filling out government insurance forms. JamesIt is the uno, at least that is the one I bought because all the ports match the illustrations for hook up in Patrick's document. His schematic is wrong in the gate driver pin out and you need to do your own drawing to get it routed to the mosfets. The connection points are right. You just need your own tangle between. I am still working on itThere has been good support with zoom to the group also working on it but with the time change to Europe it is during our working day here making it difficult to keep the schedule. It has been a late wet spring here delaying a lot of outdoor projects, so being retired, is still keeping crews on the go, and machinery being serviced, and repaired. On top of it all, parallel to this Samsung project, I have 20 KW of solar panels going up on the barn roof. Only three years old, they were going for scrap if they could be removedAll good. The barn has been totally rebuilt from new foundations to the twin queen posts, fresh sawn 1 3/16" barn board, 6"×6" and 8"×8" beams, using the old where possible. My wife, and I did the post and beam structure, along with part time help, but we got local guys in to put on the new steel roof. Everything is happening at once now that spring is here.( did I mention the water collection and storage?)These motor generator things are looking amazing, so far.You know, Hector has been harping on about it for years, sending us to Harbor Freight for generator heads, and using outrunners. It's all true, and prophetic, but needed the nuts and bolts details to build them. The Samsungs are still painful blisters to set in bearings and shaft, but people are doing it, and they are working. I have to get mine going too.Cheers Warren Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android On Tue., 21 May 2019 at 11:17 p.m., James Glinski [email protected] [EVGRAY]<[email protected]> wrote: Thanks warren do you know what version of aduino there using for this I was looking around and theres many many versions . James Not yet, mechanically good to go, but must finish controller interface with the Arduino. I have a 24 volt to 240 volt inverter and a transformer that is 120 to 63 volts that I aim to run in reverse. Should that smoke, I have a big multi tap torroid of 17 amps good to 550 volts. I can throw in a big 30 amp Variac to adjust voltage tooIn short I am not sure what I am going to do regarding supplying a variable up to 400 volts DC , but I think I may be able to do something with what I have. It only needs about an amp. It just needs to be a transformer that won't smoke, that can run off either 240 or 120 voltsCheers Warren Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android On Wed., 22 May 2019 at 2:07 p.m., James Glinski [email protected] [EVGRAY]<[email protected]> wrote: Yours is running ? Patrick Kelly showed two 240 inverters and a cap combo to reach 400 starting at 12 vdc the prices on the inverters are low due to need only half of the total in put power needed a couple of ,400 watt units are cheap .depends on what you need .good luck warren .what's up with kono he would be on this stuff like a duck on a June bug . what are you guys not saying ?. It's all true, and prophetic, but needed the nuts and bolts details to build them..The Samsungs are still painful blisters to set in bearings and shaft, but people are doing it, and they are working. I have to get mine going too.Cheers Warren Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android On Tue., 21 May 2019 at 11:17 p..m., James Glinski [email protected] [EVGRAY]<[email protected]> wrote: Thanks warren do you know what version of aduino there using for this I was looking around and theres many many versions .
