Norm, That's why I brought it up, as a possible exterior coating for a saucer after reading the counterbary info you posted. That's only half the battle though, have to vortex spin the E field for serious lift. The potting compound may have a high standoff but the permitivity is also a requirement for a good cap. Teflon is one of the best thermoplastic insulators but takes much more material than the lesser insulating polyesters for the same uF. The teflon caps are huge for their size, but do sound so sweet!
