Norm,

I have been looking for electrical insulators that are good thermal
conductors.  the best I came up with are diamond and cubic boron arsenide

Have been running tests with different plasma devices such as light
bulbs, plasma spheres, neon lamps and looking for the magnetic re
connection.  Not much luck until today with a very long UV lamp that
during a ground spike spun the compass, exciting stuff!  Even though
running isolated on batteries to independent ground rod need to keep
clear of anything plugged in the wall, as you said it comes right up the
neutral.   Got nailed from a scope probe, scope was off I was not
touching anything but got too close to that probe with my forearm and snap.

The highest ( K) dielectric standoff compound is mad by 3-M and has the 
ywo requisits you need!   Super conductivity of thermal energy and has 
the highest known  K value (electrical stand-oof). I had quarts of it 
for it is common around these cooling devices.

Norm,

Are you referring to a thermal paste like white silicon?

Seems to me with the proper ionic check valve one could negative charge
large plates of copper and create electronic AC, had any luck with this?

Norm, what's the 3M stuff name, I'll look it up?
FYI
Dist. Water is a great dielectric (80 I think) and thermally conductive too. 
Takes great power to change temp and has many unique properties.

Norm,

I ran into this stuff while researching magnetic refrigeration, I think
it has many other uses such as the one you proposed earlier with the
Sieback energy harvester.  Extremely interesting substance, very
expensive due to the telurium so unfortunately the most expensive solar
cell.

The questions center around materials that display outstanding electro 
dielectric stand-off capabilities (K) and at same time are superior 
thermal conductors.  I had large quantities for this silicone based 
white thermo- electric potting compound.  If you stick your finger into 
it you get a refrigeration effect since it conducts thermal energy at a 
rapid rate. You have touched on a whole another science here as you will 
see. The old methods of PN junction material was :

With an understanding of the current Industrial Technology you can see that a continuous film of proper junction material can be made to build the more efficient direct conversion of heat energy into electric current in a plate solar collector as I have advocated. Direct thermo electric conversion vs Photo voltaic conversion (only 10% efficient).

BTW! Dow Chemical & 3M make the silicon paste potting compounds.  Just do your research on your particular requirements.
