Body
Norm,
I ran into this stuff while researching magnetic refrigeration, I think
it has many other uses such as the one you proposed earlier with the
Sieback energy harvester. Extremely interesting substance, very
expensive due to the telurium so unfortunately the most expensive solar
cell.

Opposite is also provided by the nano-particle science. You can spend a lot of time understanding the SCIENCE here.

Interesting if you go back in history to the meeting held at Wright Patterson AFB dealing with the (K) dielectric capability to enable a mach 5 anti-gravity aircraft. The Conference dealt with Barrycentric, Counterbarry (Anti-gravity). The basic (K) requirements layed out have been far exceeded in the thermo-electric community as seen by the use of nano technology! Just read up on this science.

Direct thermo electric conversion vs Photo voltaic conversion (only 10% efficient).
