.you guy try the no acid battery yet .they use Epson salts and dump out the acid and rinse out the battery and then use something else ?I think bicarb ? I'll go look it up but the point is you can get big dead batteries and convert to this type .it's a little lower voltage but you can run them dead with no harm

Alum is the word you are looking for... it works great

 Baking soda neutralises the acid.

Thank you And yes Kone I start with a 140mf and then get down to about 35-40mf. If I go lower the motor stalls.

I haven't tried much with rectifying the cap phases and using it because I only had one dc motor. About the time you stayed taking about the treadmill motors I picked up two but only one had a dc motor. The other with the ac used a torque converter pulley and varied the diameter for speed. I'm retired now and so thinking of hitting some salvage yards. Thanks Warren. And I admire your great work ethics. I put in 40 years in constructing not used to seeing work like yours.
Hi Mick
Yes the Rene charger works on the best of both worlds, but one of those worlds is a conventional-charge of running current and higher voltage straight through a battery and now you get the conventional reflection of current through the battery back to current input going up in consequence, while that backemf/recoil/flyback charge has zero reflection back to current input and this is why Warren had such little draw to his bedini wheel, and could run it for a week on a very small AH battery while it charged up a dozen or so 100AH approx. batteries during that time.,

Hi Trois
Maybe first find minimum rpms needed for induction effect from magnet rotor you want to have
Then belt down with pulleys or magnetic gears from high rpm RV motor such as 3600rpm at 60hz 2 pole
Or vfd to higher rpms and kick down for good torque
Permanemt magnet rptor another option for better torque from shaft so rotor does not stall after rpm slip of only 7% of latched sinewave rpm as in induction motor
