Smokey! In a very strange way, I acquired two audio tapes, 7 inch, recorded at 1 7/8 speed, of the entire Appolo 11 mission done by an amateur radio buff. Jon Gentry. Dallas now has these original recordings. Really i interesting to listen to the real live dialog!

Man on the Moon:
Hello xxxxx,
"Hahaha went to the moon. Yeah right."
Very obvious that you do not believe Man has gone to the Moon. If you do any current Video viewing you will see that there are currently a multitude of videos on all of the Missions as we celebrate 50 years from these events.
After 9 years in the Royal Australian Navy, Petty Officer after less than 4 years service and going for Chief at 8 years, and being screwed by the Public Service in delays (5 months) for a job as a Technical Officer at Navy Office Canberra which was listed as mine, I rang Canberra Deep Space Communications Complex (CDSCC).
Rang on a Tuesday, response was immediate, yes, please come down for an interview on Thursday. Did so and was offerred 3 positions, which one did you want? Chose RF as that was my background. When can you start, when do you want me? Monday, I was picked up by one of the 17 cars that were used to get to the Station as it was 37 kms out of Canberra. At that time xxxx was pregnant with xxxx and we rented a country cottage only 5 miles from Tidbinbilla but was a start. I could have walked over the hills, it was only two miles away in a direct line.
After being there only 5 months the RF Engineer chose me to go to Parkes as assitant RF (Movie - The Dish) for the Apollo 17 Moon landing - December 12 1972. ( I was one of the few operator RF types who was also a technical asset) Our job was to ensure their receiver Maser was working as designed as it was the only real NASA input to the Parkes CSIRO operation. The Az/El 64m Dish at Tidbinbilla (DSS43) was still in its final commissioning stage and why Parkes was still being used as the Video receiver station. The 34m Ha/Dec Dish at Tidbibilla (DSS42) was the same as Honeysuckle Creek where the first Moon walk was received from. Both TID and HSK had uplink capability using their 10 Kw transmitters.
So, on the day, I am sitting in the Parkes Control Room with the 64m Dish looking at the Moon and recording all of the Apollo 17 landing details. This went on daily for the length of the final Mission, about a week. There was a video directly in front of us with real time data displayed and yes, the Dish was pointing at the Moon.
There was no means by which any of this could be faked as there were too many stations involved at Goldstone -3/Madrid - 3/Australia - 4, as well as the multitude of world wide Radio Hams who were also in on this.. Most of the Movie practice scenes were done on Earth but have gotten into the video mix and what is concerning those more interested in a conspiracy than a truth.
My time at Tidbinbilla was spent as the prime RF team operator with up front exposure to any specific special projects that required top operator input as in the Pioneer Venus Multi Probe - 3 Probes into the surface. I covered all of the Pioneer 10 and II/Mars Viking- Lander/Voyager I & II/Helios I & II, also involved at times with the Space Shuttle at DSS 42 and any of the other manned operations.
I was the receiver operator to first lock Helios II after its launch at DSS 42. I am also the one to discredit the Helios Missions in that there was a 16 second time delay purposefully installed in both Spacecraft to make it look as if the Sun is that ridiculous 93mill miles away.
I was there helping in pushing the buttons, there was no coverup.
Respectfully.
Smokey
Addendum:
Cooby Creek just North of Toowoomba was also involved and made a high quality video of the event but was trashed and never used:
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-07-20/legend-of-cooby-creek-tracking-station-nasa-confiscated-video/11326648
Also - Carnarvon in Western Australia had an important role to play for the Apollo II Mission in taking over from Honeysuckle Creek before Madrid in Spain came into view:
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-07-14/the-vital-role-played-by-carnarvon-in-the-apollo-11-moon-landing/11261800
And the main Tx/Rx site at Honeysuckle Creek (HSK - DSS44) which was backed up by DSS 42 at Tidbinbilla:
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-07-19/nasa-apollo-11-moon-landing-footage-sent-via-honeysuckle-creek/11273724
So as a correction - Australia had 5 Tracking Stations involved with Apollo 11 and if you were spending 1c of every 10c of taxpayer's money at the time on sending a Man to the Moon, wouldn't you make sure you had every contingency in place no matter what?
At that time we also had in South Australia, Woomera (Missiles) and Ceduna (Telecommunications) available and were probably also on standby.
Trump is doing his best to retrieve all of the lost/stolen technology that is no longer available in the USA and that is why they are now talking of a Moon Mission using Females in 2023.
