Hi everyone, I'm working on a flywheel system to produce electricity.
To give information to anyone interested in such a system, I state
that a large flywheel, 2 meters in diameter (about 7 feet) and
weighing 450 pounds, launched at a speed of 120 revolutions per
minute, driven with a system of pulleys and belts by a 2.5HP motor, an
alternator provided only 1200watts, if I increased the load
(1400watts) the wheel slowed down until it had no more speed to
produce current, therefore, the engine that absorbed 1.85kw , consumed
more current than the one produced (1.2kw). In conclusion the system
with belts and pulleys connected to large flywheels, do not produce
excess current, but much less, so all the videos that are seen on
youtube filmed in India on the genre, are all scams. Now I'm going to
change the system to make it work by the way, like Chas says. I'll
keep you up-to-date.
