OleRomex is the most common domestic house wire consisting of three wires all about 1mm or 14gauge, bundled together each PVC (vinyl) plastic insulated, and put inside in a flattened group, in a pvc sheath. We have this in Canada.I have also seen it in Mexico, the USA, Carribean, except I am not sure about the French Islands, where they have a green and yellow heavy ground wire, and 220 volts.Every hardware store sells it here in Canada.. like antenna wire, the ohms value, is perhaps, important..CHEERS warren

Hydroponic gardens, heat and communications with a larger World that doesn't just represent financial predators.Oh those predators, they might get a little feisty no longer having a cash cow, quite the same way.So, I can't see any down side, really.It is time for this device to come out of the closet, and sing, and dance.Let's see what we can do with these things, and once working , get the young egg heads in, to try to noodle it out, why it works.So now, let's get some working!Okay guys, wake up! Unfortunately the lamp dimmer burned up on the third trial out. It was the smallest one they had back then.I replaced it but never worked on this again.
Looks like the Autotransformer likely does have an iron core of some kind, don't know why I thought that when I took it all apart back then. I do remember the toroidal width of the coil inside it is 4" outside diameter.
Most all these component concepts came from Floyd Sweets diagrams, and videos.The diodes are - Mouser pn 511-BYT03-400 [ 3 Amp 400 volt ultra fast damper ]
