Body

Hi @lamaisonpescara

"...and does not have the strength that a 5.5
 horsepower should have..."
The motor has to be derated when running in rotoverter mode according to Hector. It is probably overloaded if trying to run at nominal power.

Check if the rotor is damaged. Is the insulation between the laminated steel sheets in working order? The current has to run in the squirrel cage and not in the metal sheets.

Ole

Thanks Warren for the availability, ... I hope that Doug can help me,
the problem is that the engine runs at full speed, even with only 2
phases once it starts, without capacitors, and without load it absorbs
very little, 0.2 AMP, however, turning the rotor very warm (not the
stator with the windings), and does not have the strength that a 5.5
 horsepower should have.
