Possible squirrel cage warmup:  ( overloading-mechanical ) 

Wrong wiring , shorted winding , seized bearings , frozen grease .

RV is more efficient at specific loading and power source & speed  ( capacitor must match load for unity power factor ) at best load . 

and that depends totally on motor capability & specifications ( your motor is supposed to work OK in 220V 50cps ac but will have to be de-rated in its hp capability !
