OleAfter all the trouble, 1 KW hardly seems enough when 700 to 800 watts are required to run the Samsung motor.It is reported that motor may drive a 10KW unit, if not more, provided the rotor hub is beefed up.One fellow is completing a 30 kw unit for delivery at the end of next week, using an industrial version of the Samsung washing machine motor, which is all self contained,
bearing, shaft, rotor and stator.He has only shown videos of the old working 1500 watt unit, plus the newly delivered 30 KW generator head.I think I will plod away, and finish my 2.6 kw unit, to see if I can make it go, 3600 rpm, or not.No matter how many cycles, it can be converted to DC, and inverted, if need be.Still, there are no physics which come to mind, so if indeed it works, we will then have to figure out why.This also could be another of those wild goose chases, as we call fruitless efforts , here in Canada.In that case, it has cost very little.Should it work, it will be exciting.Cheers Warren

EduardoSadly, the plate if any, was on the gas engine. I only know it was a Fairbanks Morse which was very heavily built, using their own engine, which for any company, is unusual.
It seemed to be for continuous duty, but there is no indication when it was made, or what model.It could have even been war time WW11 vintage except for the paint.Cheers Warren

A generator for DC, rather than an alternator producing AC andrectified to DC, just spits out DC. The DC slip ring is usuallysegmented to flip the fields.
