Norm,
                 At certain points of observations, the cycling of water through the disrupt-er vortex exposure then the physical vortex inside the tank , (imploding) .
The ppms would change as well as the ec.
That at first start up reasonably with in the first hour to two the 500 liters would take a significant change! The ppm would go from approx
250 (tap water) to 300 + -  . The ec would go from 1 to 1,3-4  , then when the nutrients were added and phosphate , then let cycle .
The more it ran with time the more it gained and then....... it felt as if you were loosing it! The ppm as well!  Its like it would just drop off!
Then if you checked later it would appear toall reappear!  Its like it needed to cycle 720 degrees or more recapping its own evaluation with pairing and unpairing.
This is where I refer to as ghost like elements. Octaving its values perhaps?
May sound weird but there is some thing there!   I gave the project to group of students from the University. They said they would keep me apprised.
Hopefully this makes some sense !
