to provide the same result as you can get with an jnk jet printer, except you alter the substrate, by removing that which is there, but not struck by the light.We did the first double sided lap top boards in North America, in Canada, apart from the IBM, as wall sized artwork, then photographically reduced it, and got the boards printed, then populated.Silk screens are made the same way.Artist's etching as well, from the 15th century, in concept, resists, and acids.Your vortex made larger might just as well be image captured with the camera on a circular track, going around the active vortex, clear of the apparatus.You can not put a vortex on a turntable as it will interfere with the shapeOnce you have these captured images, a 3D printed form can be accurately modeled.Mind you, someone skilled in the art can quickly, and likely, match the shape, by sculpting it in, clay or plasticine, so that it works fine.Don't get caught up on technique.Odd as it seems, it is not that difficult, whether making velocity stacks for carburetors, or nozzles for rockets once that shape is correct in your mind.What I am saying is that an artist can see a shape, and duplicate it well enough that it works.Make it in Bondo, available at any automotive store. Male/female, it doesn't really matter. If you have one, you have the other. One becomes the mold for the other using a parting agent such as Arctic Dubbin boot grease, with silicone. Bondo is cheap, and cheery and will annoy the neighbors, with a bit of polyester stink, but works great for mold making. Sets in 5 minutes if you use a lot of catalyst.You can use the plasticine as a mold for Bondo, or Bondo, as a mold for Bondo, or press plasticine into a Bondo mold to make changes to your shape.The thing is, let yourself be creative, and don't get hung up on rigid perfection, nature is not so anal retentive, neither are bugs.Cheers WarrenSent from Yahoo Mail on Android

Warren, Interesting that you brought up the subject of photo lithography for chips, since back in 1981, I was designing driver circuits for a new class of DC motors and got to be friends with the Engineers at Texas Instruments Dallas. I got a complete tour of their facilities and was really impressed with the photo lithography lab. They had a wall very long and high with the intricate details drafted of a single integrated circuit chip. Photo reduction of the super high resolution image put the whole wall of circuitry on a chip about 1/4" X 1/4" in size. The vacuum deposition of the various elements in the chip building process was fascinating.
Now if we could do the same thing with the bug wing geometry that creates the micro vortex pairs, then we could duplicate the supposed effect. Would provide experimental proof of validity. A good 3D printer would suffice.

Great idea! As you say it's now called 3d printing. The best system uses the equivalent of a plasma torch to assemble from metal powders. One can specify stainless or titanium or whatever.

The good old days of photo lithography for chips are difficult to replicate. The setups now are so expensive they have to amortize the systems bigtime, so it's not just the golf playing suits to blame it on. We are down around 10nm fab now and for Intel to setup a new Fab cost about a billion dollars. Keep in mind these are fully automated chip assembly lines not one offs. Technology is changing so fast they don't have time to use the old buildings just mothball the whole last system building and all or lose out. AMD has gone fabless and just bids out the best silicon forge at the time. Now that the concept is perfected there is not much of the small lithography stuff around anymore.
I am sure the old machinery can be had for the cost of hauling it away if it can be located.
It always helps to know someone. I think Chuck Moore the Originator of Fourth language (the most efficient high level language) designed a system to build one offs and skip one of the expensive steps involved in forging a chip. That's funny you were able to play with substrate that could be band saw cut, how things change!

Some number of years ago when working as director of research
for a research and development project for a medical company, I had to come up with a way to make extremely tiny shapes, much like your vortex problems. The technology at the time for making logic chips, could be used. Layers of various deposits, the shapes generated photographically at that time, from artwork, of course, scaled down, were able to be deposited, one, on top of another, conceptually like 3 D printing, on a microscopic level. Oddly enough, to get something made from your supplied artwork was quite reasonable, compared to getting a new exhaust system put on the car! Back then, in the eighties, there were lots of independent contractors with chip making capability, taking advantage of government tax grants to encourage industry. I'm out of touch now, but I know that you could sure make tiny vortex nozzles that way, providing you have a usable design, by the square meter. When I got the chips made for the deadmau5 heads, we had to saw them from big boards, that they were printed on, using a bandsaw, if you can believe? They were then cleaned up on a disc sanding machine. They tested out with a 15% rejection rate, after, which is about average. In your case, you can leave them in boards to fill surfaces perhaps? What I am getting at, is that prototypes do not need to cost that much. They are the golf playing suits that suck up the funds in an organization. Guys willing to put skin and bones on the line, get things done, and don't cost that much. If you are friends with your right and left hands, it is amazing what just one person can do. Cheers Warren

I have clearly stated my opinion as to how any AG effect could occur via the insect wing and shell theory. Vortex, counter vortex induced flow could possibly create the effect. It would agree with my theory of lift generated over aircraft wings etc. in addition to Bernoulli and Newton's third Law. Being that stress fields (the ones the Russians were studying, cant recall the name now) create vectors at 90 degrees to the stress force I think an important part is imbuing this type of energy with angular momentum. After studying all of Victor's works and writings and followed Walter Baumgartner's follow up works with Implosion Technology, I got a real surprise in the fall of 1995. I was in a mining camp up in BC, Canada, where we had a community wash room, laundry area. The owners wife asked me to look at the mop sink that would not drain properly. We filled the sink to maximum capacity and pulled the drain plug. Immediately, a very powerful vortex formed and you could look down the 1 1/2 inch drain with the extreme vortex rotation velocity. It would take, on average, about ten minutes for the water to drain completely. Approximately 30 gallons of water. Having read everything regarding the Golden Mean Ratios and the influence in formation of the famous Implosion vortex, I carefully measured all the dimensions of the mop sink. Yes, the length vs width ratio of the sink box was a perfect 1.618 ratio which was a major contributing factor with the very powerful vortex formation. Instantly what popped into my mind was to install an impeller on a shaft suspended in the vortex core at the exit to capture the high rotational energy. Both Victor and Walter wrote about the corona charge that was produced by a very tightly defined vortex core exit. Interesting phenomenon. TRUE STORY. BTW, the Schauberger Implosion Vortex Technology is a perfect replicas of the Black Hole Space Phenomenon.
