Back when I built a 12" replica of the famous Dotto Ring, I had to put 
my copper ring in an annealing furnace and bring up the temp to the 
curie point of the copper to get the dead soft annealed conductivity 
specified.  I have told all of you about getting the max performance out 
of your coils by going through the annealing step to relieve the work 
hardening due to bending stress.

Something very important here is the role of the Phonon in electron
