OleI did a fairly accurate experiment with the rotoverter, using the load in series with the capacitor circuit.The load in that particular çase was a 120 volt to 13.8 volt transformer, which was then rectified to dc to run a 12 volt electric outboard boat motor.I fed the rotoverter from a 5 amp 12 volt gel cell battery running a 12 volt to 120 volt inverter. First, the RV motor had to get up to speed, using a double pole double throw switch between grid 120 and the inverter battery produced 120 volts.Once running, and loaded, the draw at the battery was 1.5 amps, while the outboard motor was drawing 2.5 amps.I believe these results are plainly over unity in my case, 1.416 more out, than in.Incidentally, I later ran the Rene charger from the 24 volt tap on that same transformer, and could not detect any increase in amperage draw while it charged up several of those same 12 volt gel cell batteries, together in parallel, while at the same time running the test load outboard motor.I used both digital and analog meters at both ends, and for once, they all agreed with each other.

If getting 165W load power from 312W consumed from the battery that's quite much waste! Why not just get an inverter for the battery voltage to output the voltage for the lamps. That could be done with around 90% efficiency to only waste around 10% of the power instead of almost half the power being wasted. With only the inverter between the power source and load there is even less equipment to wear and fail.
