AndreasCheck out Rosemary Ainslie's complete most recent explanation, and also the Youtube videos by Aaron M. She is a physicist, and has now decided to go mano to mano against the paid trolls, using her more than adequate brains, leaving nothing to doubt. There is not much wiggle room around her thesis. The bench top replications are proving her correct, done by independant researchers. She is 100% public disclosure.
Google her, and step beyond the crap put out by the nay sayers. This is quantum physics in practice, and the wave of the future. You have to keep digging in your search efforts, to get her up dated thesis. She puts it as simple as it can be, and it comes very close to what some of us have been having interesting results with, even paranoid Hector AsTecumseh once said" be calm, be brave"Cheers Warren

Think of the electrocaloric effect: https://wiki2.org/en/Electrocaloric_effect. This is just like the magnetocaloric effect (https://wiki2.org/en/Magnetocaloric_effect) but for electric fields.
Thanks of the link. This effect make sense for me. But it seems rather impractical for serious exploitation. What are these mW gadgets good for if there is no hope at all to ever being able to scale them up by factor of 10 million to be practical!?
If the circuit is a self-runner the energy must come from somewhere. My guess is that it converts ambient heat to electricity. Decreasing the capacitance to half its initial value at constant charge implies doubling the energy being stored.
I agree. But it seems we need to add energy to the system, either mechanically or thermodynamically!? And we need to to cool and heat a medium 100.000 times per second to exploit this reasonably, don’t we!? I can’t see yet how?
If there is some phase shift between the changing capacitance and the stored charge there could be some kind of parametric pumping. This of course requires going the proper way around the cycle in the phase plane.
That might be the problem. We can do this in a classical heat pump setup with a designated compressor and expansion valve. Doing this in a core/dielectricum seems to be a totally different cup of tea. The effects are there but unfortunately minuscule and not easily controllable!? :-(

Andreas
