I believe that the pulse used for generating the oscillations must be at least as fast as the frequency that is to oscillate. For generating overtones (https://wiki2.org/en/Overtone https://wiki2.org/en/Overtone) the pulse then has to be faster than the fundamental frequency of oscillation. Read Tesla about generating high frequency. Tesla used high voltage of very fast rise time to start the oscillations. The very fast rise time represents the high frequency components. High rise times are generated by transistors in avalanche mode which is like a solid state spark gap. The spark happens inside the semiconducting crystal.

I do not know what the speed of the vortex has to be to enter the relativistic area in which the time stream becomes bent enough but figure it is way up there.
