Anyway will be seen as sawtooth wave or sine wave as it goes down into the analog path in an LC it can also look like an spike so depends on the modulation method , AM,FM, CM, DSB, LSB,USB PSK31 , RTTY ,MFSK PACKET, PACTOR , SWM, PSM MT 63,HELL , THROB, OLIVIA & Chonka ChonKa & other experimental methods and what form it takes in shape and how its also decoded at the receiving end , a pulse at a receiving end can be seen as a single shot ping into the circuit an stream of such pings can carry any data just at the speed it does not overlap or spreads out of the permitted parameters allowed by the FCC .

Use a digital to analog converter DAC in TX and ADC analog to digital converter at the receiving end RX !

Amen !

 Hector,
What is the carrier is derived from a TTL signal?

Any signal has 2 conditions , current and voltage in phase = NON broadcasting !

Current and voltage 90deg off phase ( broadcasting ) RADIANT !! = RE

audio amp ( no LC tanks or stages )

RF amp LC tanks and or stages ......RF = RE .

the best option is to convert HF,VHF ,UHF to RF in the final antenna coupling stage after the coaxial end , coaxial capacitance taken into the equation ..

yes is complex as hell , but as i see i was the first to couple power engineering with RF engineering , RV is testimony to that .. so !

 Hector,

Where or when does an RF transmitter get it's leading power factor? I
do not fully understand your position of RF always being leading vs unity.

For instance is an RF amp designed to have a different power factor than
an audio power amp or are they the same until the signal arrives at the
 loading?

I don't see how the power factor becomes leading until loaded by the
capacitive load antenna therefore designing the most efficient feedline
the transmitter power amp should sit right at the antenna.
