SvenI am so pleased to hear you continuing your work with the transverter.As usual, I only understand a little of what you are doing, but it sure sounds promising, and capable of substantial power, if those shunts mean anything.I am glad that you gave made a decade box, it makes tuning so much easier. You may find, as I did, some small value oil filled capacitors, which are always welcomed to a decade box.Not all devices using the decade box, need such fine adjustment, as .5mf, which my 3 hp Rotoverter can't see, where jumps of 2mf, are just OK to adjust.A good reliable decade box is quite

I have just done the heavy stonework all around the two big front windows.It is an old building of very primitive stone construction used to keep the carriage horses, I believe, as well as the carriage itself, built prior to 1840, from stone quarried on the property. Much of the original mortar used was mud, with very little burnt limestone added. The walls are at least 610mm thick.This is the 2 story building I am trying to heat this winter using electricity, to be used as my workshop laboratory. I have installed spray foam insulation inside the steel roof 100mm thick, and in the floor, 75mm urethane foam as well.On top of the foam, is a slab floor of concrete, with plastic tubes cast inside, a common heating method in Europe, I am told.I have located an air to liquid heat pump, which is on its way here that will use 10 amps of 220 volt AC to run it.Over the course of this experiment, I will add solar electric panels to the roof, scaling back on my need for grid power. Of course, any electricity I can add, will help.Also, as the heat is coming from the air, using preheated air might be good too.Oh, I look forward to perhaps using the transverter.Cheers Warren

Since I've built a 200A 50mV shunt in the system, I've measured times the currents over the voltage drop, the old moving iron meter must be terribly inaccurate or not suitable for non-sinusoids.

The max. Peak of 102mV would be over 400A for a peak I think that's pretty huge.

I wonder if you can only transfer this peak via a band rejection filter and a small capacitor on the diode plug. In principle, the resonance in the High Q is nothing else than a short-circuit at the voltage peak just to get easier.

I can get a few mica capacitors from Richard Jahre, that's an old German manufacturer about 1 uF in total capacity at 3 units that's a huge size for this type of capacitor if the piezo effect adjusts itself with an additional 200 uF conventional capacity MP capacitors, an additional increase in efficiency would be interesting or the Q further increase.
