I don't see how this could help you unless you build a diode plug with
only the mica, but let's see if it makes any difference in addition to
the bucket of water, maybe, you never know until you try. See how close
to total reactive you can use to charge caps with a pair of microwave
diodes, one on each leg. (you could try a full wave bridge rectifier of
microwave diodes and see if it charges faster but sometimes the half
wave are best.) Use some big retentive caps at high voltage, then use a
buck circuit to drop the power and raise the current to about 24 volts
DC then use an inverter and try to loop. As Konehead says be sure to
remove one leg of the cap from your source circuit before sinking power
from it and don't take all of it, leave some E in there so the impedance
stays high.
Or you could build a second all mica diode plug that is tuned at some
high harmonic and see if anything comes out.
