The magnetic field is given by the current which is the total current going around the core or area where the magnetic field is made. Say a magnetic field in an air core (i.e. no saturation possible as air is a linear medium) is made by having 100A goring around the core. This can be done by having a thick wire of one turn capable of conducting 100A or a thin wire of 100 turns capable of conducting 1A. Both examples give the same magnetic field strength. If the wires aren't superconductors they have resistance. The more resistance the higher tension (voltage) is needed to push (or pull) the current through the wire. The above example only holds for steady state DC as the inductance of the two coils differs by the turns ratio squared (100^2 = 10000). Thus the 100 turns coil has 10000 times greater inductance than the coil of a single turn. This gives high inductive reactance (high impedance) to HF AC signals or during the transient period of switching on or off a DC signal. The magnetic energy stored is the same for the two coils. The inductive kickback gives different voltages when disrupting the currents into a load. If the load resistance  (R) is 1 Ohm the induced voltage (V) of the one turn coil 'discharging' 100A into that load is 100V peak (V = I x R) while the 100 turns coil of 1A will induce only 1A x 1ohm = 1V. To dissipate the same stored energy the coil of 100 turns thus will be much slower to 'empty' its magnetic field than the one turn coil. Putting a load of greater resistance dissipates the stored energy faster as the current must decline from the 1A is has (or whatever value) when starting to remove the magnetic field energy. This is why an electromagnetic relay opens faster with a resistive snubber than when using a simple diode snubber and just the resistance of the coil itself.

 Now I know you are playing with us.
 As I sit in the corner of my basement, wearing my aluminium foil hat, hoping that neutrinos won't pass through me, it is hard to believe this loose collection of atoms is so transparent. It is like we are no more tangible, than a television image in space. Or a character in some computer game.
 The implications of the dynamic qualities of reality could make our hermit on the mountain's head hurt.
 I'll stick to trying to blend a perfect consistancy of Heritage mix mortar, to fill the voids between the rubblestone walls of my new studio /work shop. The original mix only lasted150+ years. I am hoping for better performance, in spite of those pesky neutrinos.
 Should the new doors be pine, oak, or hickory? There is also quite a surplus of perfectly sound, I believe, tamarack, poles, about ten inches in diameter. They are so hard, and dense, that even a new chainsaw blade smokes with the effort of cutting. The carbide sawsall blades are the only way, so far. They also may be contenders for new doors.
 They came out of the old milking dairy part of the big barn.
 This whole moving task has been a crazy amount of work this last year.
 I can't wait to get back to building energy devices.
 My friend Mike is hooking up his household solar bank to the electric hot water tank directly to do a test, at my pestering with a concept.
