DougOn the subject of carsOn the back burner is my 1954 Chev 1.5 ton stake truckIt is a farm truck that I used in five movies.This is the mobile platform that I have to experiment with.I can put it on the road for $ 50 extra over my antique car insurance.An electric motor and drive train is no problem as there is loads of room both under the hood and on the cargo deck.I can even run several different test electrical generation units at the same time. Space , weight, and legal on the road issues are no problem, here in Ontario, with a vehicle more than 20 years old.The ridiculous factor of such a vehicle, self running, is fun too.My friend Mike has caught the bug, as it were , too, with his VW 1.5 tonne truck he bought in Germany.He has made a really smart Nissan Leaf conversion to his differential mounting that electric transaxle and complete rear suspension on sub frame to bolt right in place of the existing differential.He is presently collecting lithium ion batteries from lap tops as they are the same as the Tesla battery packs made up the same cell modules.To recycle your old lap top, they don't take them with batteries, so Mike will pick them up.I would rather systems that don't use batteries, but I want to have fun before I get too old, and would like self running energy systems to power my stuff.We differ in practice, but for sure, Mike gets on with things, and batteries, smatteries, get your test bed running on the road. He also has a test bed available but complete with crew cab.Who cares how much energy it takes if you have the cargo carrying capacity?Cheers Warren

Would be nice, but seriously, lets say you optimize a 10HP/ 3 phase baldor, how much overunity can you have?
10HP? I have no idea. If i need to take the greese out of the bearings (according to some descriptions) so the motor can spin, then i dont see any reason to build one.
And since my sportcar days are gone,i just dont feel the desire anymore for Porsche , Mercedes or Golf GTI,
I dont even care witch color my car is, it dont must be cristallic-diamond-blue anymore. But i care about the
efficiency of the car.
By the way, my porsche 944 Cabriolet never used over 11ltr/100km even if i chased it with 250 over
the autobahn for houers. I assume that was efficient for 1990.

To men the perfect car is red 71 fiat 124 sport coupe with
dual wiebers, and lowered, with heavy duty sway bars and
abarth cams and exhaust ( I have one haha....got it for 500

Anyways I would propose for all time perfect car for world
would be smaller Tesla sedan with nothing but battery charge
indicator and speedometer for gauges, then put in the stock
battery packs, but have the simple 3ph AC induction motor
be of rotovertor
configuration so now becomes single phase AC feeding
it....this makes for 1/4 the.power to shaft but so what
those cars are ridiculously fast anyways and you could
cruise anywhere anyways on the reduced power...so then add
some caps and diodes and series transformer on that run cap/
rotary transformer/virtual phase of the rotovertor motor,
divide battery stack in half charge one half while other
half runs car, and shove the x 1.618 power increase from the
run cap phase into the battery stack half that is being
charged then do battery swapping system as they do in marine
systems and now you could have a car that never needs
recharging of batteries maybe add roof hood and trunk lid to
be solar panels Call it solar powered car for the masses.
