Hi Mick,
W.B. Smith talks about coherent fields in the way of storing energy. He gives the example of energy in a magnetic field like in a coil. When two similar coils have the same current through them they each may represent one unit of energy. If then the same two coils share the same space (i.e. wound on the same core) and still share the same current they suddenly store four units of energy instead of the two units when wound on two separate cores of still the same type. This shows that when the field becomes coherent it stores double the energy of the same two fields when incoherent (separate or just added). The trick is to input the energy as separate fields and then mix them into a coherent field. This is what I believe Pierre Cotnoir has achieved. Several free energy devices are using this principle.

Ole,
Coherent means orderly and defined and therefore can Wilber Smiths meaning be construed to mean other things besides the physics description of phase frequency and motionally equivalent?
Did he in any of his treatises provide a further definition of coherent via either construction or context?
I keep thinking of acceleration of charge due to conservation of angular momentum, one could call it the Schauberger effect.

Hi Mick,
My belief on the Cotnoir device is that he mix the separate fields of several coils into a coherent field. At least this can explain the very high power factor (overunity). The magnetic field of several coils shares the same magnetic path by overlapping while the current is shared by the coils electrically being in series as if the coils was a single coil. This makes the field coherent as in a coil of many turns which definitely gives a coherent magnetic field. The input to the coils is a serial connection and the magnetic path is a combination of parallel and serial connections.
Pierre does claim that there is a secret to the device that he hasn't told yet.

Ole,
The Cotnoir device is also loosly coupled so not adversely affecting the Q of the primary by dampening.
I beleive his device did work on a type of resonace but rather phase resonance as the proper speed of the relays firing would have created the phase shift required to create a motional rather than stationary pulsed field.
Experimenting with 2 coils and a pickup coil in the center I have found very little energy is transferred by DC pulsing until the two supply primaries are phase shifted in relation to each other.
