MickI guess it gets down to what we wish to achieve.My ego would like an accurate hiostory of my contributions, such as they are. Non of us work in a vacuum without each other's thought's and experiences, on a certain topic.It becomes a collective design project open to all.Like democracy, this is an on going experiment. People all over the World are putting their minds, funds(such as they are), and life energies into solving a grave problem of civilization.We are in a position, not unlike yeast mold, in a vat of fruit sugar juices, producing a waste material, and a toxin, that eventually kills off the population, within that vat, as the toxicity reaches morbid levels.Who would think such drama produces wine, or beer, a hedonist's delight, for another species.Our human delights are many, and various. Energy in its many forms, a distilled expression of human life, that taps into the very essence of a biological entity's abililities to explore all aspects of reality as we percieve it, is one of them.To be able to communicate any thoughts to my fellow creatures, I find myself in the clutches of a corporate entity, demanding about $50 Canadian a month to get Internet access.Who are these parsites, and how did they evolve?Then there is YahooCanadian Yahoo is claiming to be owned now by "Oath" which kind of rythms with loathe, and keeps flashing up a page to click on, where it demands I give them approval to use my substance in any way they can.Just in case there is any doubt regarding this demand, they can, in the words of a former Prime Minister, simply," FUCK OFF!" Or as Nancy Reagan would once say in her nice way "just say No"What is being discussed is the value to an insensitive corporate entity of the association with groups such as this energy group. The new owner is discovering that the lands they have purchased have an indigenous population that have lived on them for millennium. They are after immediate cash resources, and don't understand the subtle aspects of touchy feely branding that maintaining free altruistic groups provided, as the original creators of yahoo imagined.Its like the mob just moved in, kicked down the door, turned the desk drawer upside down looking for da cash.They are threatening the very conceptual basis of our yahoo group by removing our history files.We can only prove priority and public disclosure, if we have the documents.Click! Point is one either works for someone or makes it on their own. Most people are not prepared to work it solo. As you know it takes a jack of all trades and one who can also stand firmly in the public too as a salesperson and contractor. It's much easier to show up to work do the time and go home and not have to think about work 24-7
I will be the first one to admit there are others much better than me at several tasks though I prefer to stand alone at a disadvantage sometimes in exchange for more freedom.
What should be done next is the people who have something serious go out into the world and spread the goodness. If Pops has something then he is on the right track, go make it happen. He chooses one way which is one on one, if it works for him then great.
My technique would be more hands off, just build a few to prove the point then give it away and be known as the goto guy for that kind of tech. As I stated previously I think trademarks are much more valuable than are patents if one has the right pubic relations riffs.
Of course there is supression and it's pretty much international in scope, since the USD is a petrodollar, not using oil is considered enemy territory. So one best take precautions if building something serious enough to power a home.
