DaveThank you for your generator advice.I have not figured out if the DC in this Troy-Bilt is constant, or just there to perk up the electromagnet, as I have never seen a schematic. I am just dealing with what comes to me testing it. So far it is a piggy that needs power to the armature rotor slip rings or no generation happens.
Air to air takes enough heat out of the outside air below zero to make it toasty inside. Only heat moves.. Cold stay,s put. Although the air is cold, it is not 0 degrees Kelvin, so there is lots of heat in 0 degrees C before 0 degrees KOf course, the hotter your source fluid, the better the efficiency you get, as the heat differencial is less of a trouble to convert to heat.Thermal preheating a liquid heat exchanger liquid is much prefered, like using solar thermal panels, or a big tank of liquid. How does a air to air heatpump work when it's under 0 ?Down here we have backup indoor several KW resistance coils in all .condenser shuts.

Hehas one coil around each smallest pole piece between two slots. As theoutput curve shape isn't perfect Pierre is seeking a solution whichmight be to remove some micro-poles between each macro-pole. This maynot actually be the problem and solution. The problem could be how thestepping macro-pole rides across the locked rotor poles. Perhaps themacro-pole should be one micro-pole wider? In motor (generator) rotorsthe pole pieces are shaped for best performance.
