 This is the latest video from Pierre....he draws out how the stator winds go, how many slots between and the polarity....the windings are "lapped" the small things on the circles are switches, he draws small arrow for direction of current in the eventual 6 poles.....watch in full screen hard to see everything...

 Also Luc is doing this with a 30 pole small cheap genset out of a 750W two cycle motor spun genset and he shows here how the coils wind (not around a single pole like stupid drawing I put up a few days ago) which shows how one of the eventually lapped phases is wound note coils share same slot where they "connect" at ends:
