This is a very interesting read.
Structural Steel sourced from China, or the USA?
Worrying that the Fractures occurred, without significantEarthquake activity noted.  There would be a lot moreload, during an Earthquake.

Ironic that the brittle Fractures were due to un-machinedMartensite, formed around the access/inspection Holes'cutting.
Too rapid cooling, causing significant Phase Change tothe Steel, producing the microscopic Fractures?

I once saw a picture of California from under water it showed it sitting on

Norm I've heard there's a sub in trance there were they can go from the sea
to a sub base under Utah and come up on land .not the sub but the men and
restock the subs .image a sub run under the USA ?.deep into the nation ?.
