What's this?

Hi GuysI took a screen shot of this device.Has anyone ever tried it?It sort of reminds me of Norman's door bell, for some reason.It is pouring rain outside, and I just happen to have a 8.5 ampere 1:1 torrid transformer, a 100mf oil filled cap(although 4,000 volts) and a diode, a fully charged lead acid battery, and a momentary contact push button.Should I try it? Or is it just stupid?Cheers Warren

Hector and I have pointed this out many times! My mouse trap buzzer replicated this exact action!    The secret is in the floated neutral during the open circuit at contact opening.  Ole explained precisely what happens at the moment the energizing contacts open.See my buzzer schematic.  Hector called his circuit Coil Banger.
