  Yes I remember. The motor gen at least. Kolher? It had seen its best days prior.  I got it running after rebuilding the updraft carb. It was a cool combination as I remember. Full wave.
The distributor bearings and it's housing was worn and would not hold up to any rpm as well as the compression was low. But it was exciting to play with. The wires for the gen was all cut in a mass multiple color.  I can not now recall it's different values but remember it being quite basic. Could not at the time locate any wiring schematics only cross reference.  Sadly it went with several dozen  other projects to the recycles on an unscheduled plan.  I  just now received a new lab top from a friend last night. Hopefully I can find some time of luxury to rally my data. Lol
Years back a friend collected the Fairbanks  as well as other models. Hit and miss.
Magneto  firing.

It has a complete commutator, and brushes, as well as slip rings, and brushes,
It was direct coupled to a gas engine. I have installed a stub shaft, and a bearing to support the engine end, as the that bearing support was the engine bearing.
It seems pretty good for my purposes if I only can figure out how to make it go.
An interesting feature about it is that it has an electric starter function to turn the generator into a motor for starting the gas engine it used to be connected to.
Bart, do you remember that 4 cylinder gas generator I gave you?
This is likely about a similar vintage, only, this is just a couple of KW, I'm hoping will do the job.
If anybody can remember pre-diode times I would sure be grateful.
How would the voltage regulation work?
