DougFrom this excellent schematic you have rendered, it would appear prudent to feed those five tiny hall effect transistor wires through the axle of the Golden Motor, since they are already embedded in the windings, and I assume, in some useful place.
Once outside, they can be used, or not.I have noticed that the super magnets around the inside of the rim are not glued in place anymore, if they ever were. They seem to hold well enough in place except when pulling the motor apart, and maybe putting it together, hence my concern about messing things up too much.I am putting a pulley on the rotating disc, so that I can get a very full range of experimental rpm out of this old bicycle motor, using a DC permanent magnet motor and rectified variac power supply.I have a nice large diameter pulley for the drive motor, so there should be no problem getting it up to a bicycle doing 80 mph speed, for the generator test.I might use another dc motor as a load, running off a rectified single phase of the 3 phase Golden motor, to help me find that sweet rpm, we are searching for.Cheers Warren
