Copper tape used for commutator contacts, brush is from thousands of strand silicon noodle wire they use to connect battery supplies to RC planes and cars you can get in hobby stores

DougNobody is going to vote you off the island.That is incredibly resourceful.What a job!As you know, I am very fond of the mechanical solution.I like it because what you see is what you have, and you can change anything there, to suit your wishes.
Nothing is going to be a miserable little component, on back order, because you have complete power to do what is needed.Now, it is easier for me, having machine shop equipment, but as you have proven, over, and over, it really doesn't matter, if you have an idea that you can render, by any means available to you. You can make it happen.Everything we are doing is conceptual prototype work.The idea is more important than than the practical widget that will come later.Block headed engineers, do terrific work once a concept is laid in their laps, but would never imagine it could be possible, as somebody made rules at one time, and they, sure as hell, follow the rules.One only need to relax those anal sphincter muscles, and realise we can do things many different ways.Keep at itCheers Warren
