Anyone done anything with these yet?

"Lithium Ion Capacitors are hybrid capacitors that combine the
properties of an electrical double-layer capacitor, with a lithium
rechargeable battery. The positive electrode has the physical
adsorption (surface) properties of an electric double-layer capacitor,
while the negative electrode has the oxidation reduction reaction of a
lithium rechargeable battery.

By doing this the merits of both systems: the long life of an
electrical double-layer capacitor, and the high capacity of a Lithium
Ion rechargeable battery; are realized in one capacitor.

Lithium Ion Capacitors, with technology that pre-dopes the negative
electrode with Lithium Ions in advance it is possible to use a high
voltage of 3.8V."

Due note that these devices have a MINIMUM working voltage, which
going below will damage and eventually destroy the device.  Typically
2.5V.

I've often thought of building a Tesla Switch using four of these and
a common-base transistor configuration to switch devices between
parallel and series, as these have not plates to fatigue.  Someday
I'll get enough round-to-its... :-(

Sadly the 100F and 270F are now hard to get, and may have been discontinued.

While related, the they are not the same.
The ones I'm asking about are cross between a SuperCap and Lithium Ion Battery.

SuperCaps along with batteries, of any type, will extend the life of
the battery significantly if done correctly.

For a while there was a significant shipping surcharge as UPS and
FedEx considered them hazardous material to ship.

Bob, I hear you regarding the Tesla Switch, someday I will build it.  
Ha, Ha.   I remember calling John Bedini early 80s and ordering the same 
switch schematics series/parallel switching. Built it and over time the 
batteries ran down.  Definitely not O/U.   I know, times have changed 
and really great technology gives reason to revisit old projects.  Norm

capacitively not chemically.
These non polluting environmentally friendly capacitors have 40 year
lifespan and 1 million charge recharge cycles.

The capacitor unit in the video is 3.5 KWh and sells for $4500 AUD down
here in Australia.
Construction/manufacture is said to be pretty shoddy (made in the Middle
East) somewhere.
It's early days yet with the technology but sure looks promising.

Yea, those old schematics were wrong.  They also caused to much
flexing of the plates in the battery rapidly destroying them.

The base idea was to find the resonance of the switching frequency of
the batteries with that of the surrounding Aether to pick up a few
usable extra electrons.
