In attachment is Hectors simple drawing of how to do the "big balls" experiment but could be problem digging so deep and making such big ball maybe it can be downsized I don't know anyways in attachment is the drawing

Thanks Doug,

Yes the giant crystal radio with the diode plug, very cool.  The 6 foot
ball and the 200 ft hole are a bit beyond my budget at the moment.  Done
properly I imagine this may draw lightening and a bit of attention too.
