Hi Warren,
Too bad here in my country I think there's no company like the one you
described. It has to be an easier way to build a system like that. I want
to use solar energy to run it, that's why I'm so interested in absorption
system.

einspace  Back in 1979, I did a heat recovery & storage study for the
most efficient system possible. Turned out that for an absorption -
de-sorption system suitable for solar application was the Natural
Zeolite Storage Modules.  Zeolite has 10X greater energy capacity of any
known method and based on BTU/cu ft. After ordering a pallet of Zeolite
from Japan, I found that the 10X Molecular Seive used in the petrolium
Industry and in all the Pressure Swing Oxygen Generators (Gulf Corp MFG)
worked equally well and is mfg from simple clay and binders.

https://www.sigmaaldrich.com/chemistry/chemical-synthesis/learning-center/technical-bulletins/al-1430/molecular-sieves.html

I built a flat plate solar collector (hybrid design) and successfully
tested the heat storage capacity of this method.

With the ability to store solar heat for use in off hour use as a heat
source, it is of great value in your energy research!

The thing I like about using a spray type of tec aka absorption fridge .is
you can use any heat source and there was a Hi voltage steam generator that
used spray as it's heart in the turn of the century .Armstrong ? I think
.it real was just like the the water drop hivoltage generator but under
pressure as the drops not the steam ran it .a real primitive power
generator talk about of grid .a camp fire and portable .. Any fluid could
potentially be used .butane ect . for solar . but that's a lot of
development.

JonathanI ran my wind powered refrigerator for years until the 12 volt dc Danfoss compressor packed it in, but, it was good, giving pretty reliable free refrigeration in the tropics. Then, now, with solar panels, it is no challenge, it can easily be done.
The ammonia system and sunlight should work, but you are sure going to be doing a lot more custom fabrication.I built my whole water cooled system except for the compressor, getting it to run on 1.2 amps of 12 volt dc in waters averaging 30C, and delivering +5,+10C inside my unit for food storage.Cheers Warren

JonathanI might add that that was over 20 years ago using R12 refrigerant.I know much more now, and things are much easier and maybe cheaper with China making dc compressors. One can use propane or butane as refrigerants. Just add oil for lubrication of the compressorCheers Warren

einspace  Back in 1979, I did a heat recovery & storage study for the most efficient system possible. Turned out that for an absorption - de-sorption system suitable for solar application was the Natural Zeolite Storage Modules.  Zeolite has 10X greater energy capacity of any known method and based on BTU/cu ft. After ordering a pallet of Zeolite from Japan, I found that the 10X Molecular Seive used in the petrolium Industry and in all the Pressure Swing Oxygen Generators (Gulf Corp MFG) worked equally well and is mfg from simple clay and binders.

I built a flat plate solar collector (hybrid design) and successfully tested the heat storage capacity of this method.

With the ability to store solar heat for use in off hour use as a heat source, it is of great value in your energy research!

HI ALL ,I have done the conversion from freezer to fridge,it's simple you need a thermo for fridge & that's about it .I got a ew freezer that is energy effecient $32. a year to opperate  . The only issue was incovenience of chest for fridge use gets old after a while!OTHER THAN THAT IT'S PRETTY CHEAP V/SREGULAR FRIDGE !ALL IT COST WAS THERMO & FREEZER A LITTLE TIME !

Hi Warren,  Too bad here in my country I think there's no company like the one you described. It has to be an easier way to build a system like that. I want to use solar energy to run it, that's why I'm so interested in absorption system.
