The higher the voltage the greater is the frequency of the radiation which gives finer details of the sample being radiated.

This is very expensive equipment. I wonder how high acceleration voltage a Tesla type of open air electron gun can take. The old CRT screens have a thick lead glass front to prevent too much x-ray radiation hitting the viewers. The problem is the repair man when sitting behind the screen and adjusting a CRT TV-set. This is where the highest amount of x-rays are. Also Tesla talked about generating cosmic radiation that could charge capacitors at a distance. Today this ionizing radiation is considered harmful. Even people like dentists frequently using ionizing radiation has to take precautions. Thus be careful when working with high voltage acceleration. When the particles hit something hard the deceleration causes radiation. Soft x-rays starts somewhere above 20 kV.

The researchers should reinvent the Nemescope. The Nemescope used heterodyne technology like in radio technology to bring down the frequencies into the optical range which can be seen by human eyes. This is just a single octave. Canadian inventor Troy Hurtubise https://wiki2.org/en/Troy_Hurtubise (died last month) also shifted the frequency range from something being able to penetrate a few meters of earth into the optical range. The amazing thing was that his radiation source (Angel light and God light) was extremely efficient as it was driven from a standard house socket. A normal accelerator would require MW or GW of power or even more to accomplish this. Hurtubise used optically nonlinear gases to shift the frequency into that penetrating range and for downshifting it again for viewing with human eyes. Again use proper protection from the radiation. Tesla found that carbon didn't cause as harmful radiation as harder materials when accelerating/decelerating particles in vacuum globes. Did they even know how big a dose of radiation was harmful back then? They didn't have the technology to observe changes in genes and had to wait for cancer or changes in their next generation before becoming aware of the hazards.
