Hello Hector and all, I thought if you do not use a 3-phase transformer or choke as a reactor for both diode plugs. Leg A for positive diode plug and leg C for negative diode plug over leg B would equalize the magnetic flux, perhaps one could resonate leg B with a capacitor. it's just an idea of what I'm thinking about. greetings Sven
hector,

What is the purpose, to get a true wye out of a delta setup without
using an extra conductor?

If one primary of a delta/delta transformer fails the secondary will still have all three phases. Just the nature of a triangle. A property often exploited to reduce the transformer cost by 1/3 on small installations.(called open delta in the USA) https://i.stack.imgur.com/4W34r.jpg

I know is complex but try thinking in terms of RV motor and RF variometers
and 'neutral spikes" ..
