Is the configuration with the diode connected the only time you had
influence from the fluorescent lights?

or just see if your FLs are transmitting microwaves or RF waves being rectified by your lamp diode ..?

there are always some anomaly's  within this energy domain  than is one of them , but try first the more reasonable logical explanation ones !
