Hi NormThat three phase transformer shown in the picture in the article about ferroresonance is just the same as the one I have. At least, complete with those air gaps between windings and all.My transformer weighs about 450 lbs.I found it interesting, and curious, that those destructive energies were not explored beyond that circuit diagram showing a bad circuit arrangement.On the theme of harvesting these bad things, how does one actually setup this experiment?I have RV capacitor tuning boxes.I have giant variacs that can lower, or raise the input power voltage.I even have three ganged together Variacs that might perhaps be used to adjust inductance when wired like Sven was doing.What were you thinking when you sent this link?Electrical engineers go coy about ferroresonace like it is only a source of traumatic past wounds to their egos, or something, rather than a curious phenomena worthy of exploration.Surely with limiting the input, to such a big transformer, one needent worry about cooking the coils.More by induendo, than by design, we are told" bad things happen here. Don't do this" rather than " hey boys, and girls, here's a neat experiment you might like to try"On a positive note, so to say, how do we set up an experiment where we put a little power in, and get a great whacking big amount of power out?No matter what voltage comes out, we should be able to harness it into something recognizable, and useful.Cheers Warren
