Can anyone helpSupose the rotor is a permanent magnet( it is not)Then, how are small construction generators, like this Kohler, usually wired in order that they are two pole, 3600 rpm, 120 volt, 220 volt and 60 hzThere seem to be two stator coils opposite each other looking end on.How is it wire in all likelyhood.Cheers Warren

Hi Warren,

There are two possibilities. One is to put them in series for double voltage and the other is in parallel for double current. The current has to run in the direction that gives opposing poles. I.e. one is North- and one is South-pole.
