Sven, Crack open the inverter, see if you can add a capacitor trim to the frequency, a touch may be all you need. I had similar problem in the ZVS inductor circuit until I lowered the IW capacitance of my coils therefore raising the frequency. After this all parts ran cool. I can adjust the switching points only for the voltage in the diode plug. I'm already switching to the peak. The only thing that comes to my mind is to design the reactors stronger so that a higher cold current flows there!?!
